i have no longer control over my brain, I feel it firing up like mad, I'm havinng thoughts of doing harm to myself or my family, it's all because of brain mercury , I put a lot of it there 2 days ago when i did a 24h ALA 25mg chelation every 3 hours , yesterday eveining felt a bit better yet my mother made a goulash todayin to which she added cilantro, which i didn't know about, went crazy today I don't feel reality anymore, am paranoid about many things can't get even a small grasp of reality and feel like my mind is being overstimulated, feel like throwing things cups, glasses everywhere , major confusion and I don't really care anymore....
can't really epress what I'm going through can't even tell if what I'm writing at least expresses what i tried to say..
I doubt if my brain is ever going to be the same again, the neurons are dying everyday, am seeing myself in a mental hospital in a couple of weeks where all my talk about mercury will be regarded as delusional... I don't know if I'm even mercury poisoned at all............
I'm very thin, my face looks bad, am balding, and already lost one mercurial teeth because it was the drilling that screwed me up really good last time.... have no personiality, don't feel like ahuman being, lost my iq, memory, SKILL, everything that I wokred for, that MADE ME ME.
life cold have been so ****beautiful****** if not for ONE choice of putting poison in my mouth years ago that I had no control of, and now have to suffer the consequnces of it, ironically magnified by disbelief of that devastating problem.
I don't want to offend anyone's beliefs here but I stopped believing in god, don't understand how he could put people through such suffering, and - sorry- the explanation that "he has a plan" doesn't work with me, it's such plainly NOT FAIR to be suffering like that, I have been mercury poisoned all my life actually, swallowed mercury thermomemeter at the age of 5, then amalgam fillings, always had issues but was never acttually happy, went through much suffering back in the past already, yet i tried not to whine about i because guess what?? I had hope it would be better one day. well, this but this sutuation tops it all, can't take it, I'm almost 24 now and still don't know what life is like, what I am like, feel like an empty box, I've tried many things but haven't expierienced them, I wan't to finally fall in love, leanr how to enjoy intimate moments, sex with a loved one, be a good person and help people, have a purpouse in life that would be worth it and drive me , feel what other people are feeling , BE A PART OF THIS GODDAMN WORLD!!!!!!!!

claythrow, that's the whole paradox that drives my insane there, can't chelate, stil have fillings, cant get them removed, cause last removal of 2 fillings left me scarred like this and no biological dentists in poland on top of that I'm going insane and have no control over my life anymore... maybe I'm just weak.

not for me, not with my funds, nowhere near in a decade.... that's why I'm having my teeth pulled, already 1 down, 2 to go, but can't extract more, only the ones with larger fillings, hence will still be left with 2 smaller fillings that will still need to be drilled out. the last time I had 2 fillings being drilled out I ended up... well read above:/ see my predicament?

Having teeth pulled will accompish the same thing...then you can start chelating and get better. I think pulling the teeth is a wise decision on your part if you are sure the cause is mercury.
You will get better. I know its hard to believe, I have been just about where you are at and still not healthy, but it will get better.

Hi Jinx, it's heartbreaking to read your posts and seeing someone go through this and especially at your young age. Your feelings on God are totally understandable and no you haven't offended me. I've been there and still go there.
Your questions? I've asked them also. Many people lost their faith in the prisoner of war camps for the same reasons you gave. "where is God?", and we who are tortured by a neurotoxin ask the same thing. I do believe in Him Jinx, I believe He's there and is fully aware of this down to the most intimate detals. Why wont' God do something? I do not know. It is very hard to hold on to ones faith in light of such suffering. This world basically stinks for many people. No it should not have to be that way, but look at the imbalance of everything?
All those things you want in life? Are normal and are echoed by many. Believe me. You just want to taste life in every way, not be a bad person, but be a human being, and do something in life, try everything, see things, help others. And instead we get "this".
I don't get it either. I think of the cross a lot because if I didn't, I'd really lose it even more. And many do lose it. I would imagine that torture of the mind is possibly the worst thing to be afflicted with.
I don't know what to say Jinx, but yeah the ALA and cilantro? Um I'd steer clear of both. I wish you were under the guide of a fully train professional that could do somethign here, becuase this is just a dire situation. I dont know if DMSA could help, but I would give it a go. Its easy for people here to throw suggestions at you and possibly cause more harm in the process, but it seems nobody is helping you where you are. Certainly DMSA would probably be safer, considering it lowers the blood levels of mercury.
I wish I had more to suggest.

Jinx, I haven't been following your progress throughout your posts, but is it possible that you're chelating too quickly? I'll be happy to help you deal with your symptoms individually if I can help. Feel free to contact me. About God... I'm not offended and I can understand why you would feel this way about God, but I think it's important for us all to understand that God is absolutely not the one who puts mercury in modern so-called medicine. In fact, He hates this type of practice so much that the Biblical penalty for this practice is death. The punishment is this severe because He knows what kind of suffering this practice leads to. The next question that a person might ask is, "If God can control everything, then why did He allow this to happen to me?"The answer is that He does not control everything. He allows us the gift of free will. If we accept this substance to be put into our bodies, we also accept the consequences. "But I didn't know this stuff had mercury, besides, my parents allowed it, not me, and they didn't know either."That's exactly the way evil works; It conceals the truth and tells lies to our harm. God hates this practice but He also leaves it in our hands and within our power to control. Now, the Biblical prohibition against the practice of putting poisonous substances in our bodies was well known in the 1800's, and even in the early 1900's, but when did—or better yet—who stopped heeding this warning, and why?! Is it not they who have also contributed to our harm—By refusing to pass down this important information that was once well known? So, this type of horrible thing happens to us (and remember, I have suffered greatly as well, even to the point of trying to kill myself) because of the action of evil (lawless, immoral, selfish) people and because of the neglect of good to restrain it. ~ "Evil flourishes when good men do nothing."—Edmund Burke Even now, we have the collective power to quickly and easily stop FDA from tormenting people with lies, approving drugs that harm, catering to the corporations by deceptively allowing the sale of very-real poisons like Nutrasweet, yet it's like pulling teeth to get someone to get involved in the process. The result: Evil flourishes. Am I blaming anyone specifically. No. I'm blaming us all collectively. All it would take is 1 hour every month from every adult in the U.S. to stop this madness. If you don't have an hour, give $10 to a health freedoms organization. If only 1% of the population worked for 2 to 3 hours per month, it would end quickly and easily. The nasty people promoting these things would be instantly overpowered and our children and grandchildren would not have to suffer as we have. As an example, I've been trying for close to a year to get 5 volunteers with about an hour or 2 per week to work on the "Educate the Dentists" Project. In all this time, I currently have 2 volunteers. Why? God did not do this to us. He despises it. Nevertheless, we (humans) keep learning the same lessons over and over because we don't remember them—and that is: Freedom and Truth are not free. We have to work for them, but the work it requires is truly easy. It's carrying the burdens of the lies that are promoted by the ADA, FDA, NCAHF, Quackwatch, and all the other greedy, self-serving organizations that is very difficult and horrible. If God intervened and "protected us from ourselves" by not allowing us to learn this simple lesson, He would subvert part of the very purpose for us being here, not unlike allowing your children to fall if they continue to disobey you. Let us put the blame where it belongs and do something about it. Then these horrible things will no longer happen. It's easy. When will we begin? "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: [color:"red"]therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:"—Deuteronomy 30:19 The choice is ours. Why do we (collectively) continue choosing the hard way?

Jinx, I ask myself every day why I suffer like you do. Russ did a good job of explaining why we suffer and all I can add is that we live in a sinful, fallen world. Someday God will send his son Jesus Christ back to this world to set things straight. Until then the world will continue to deteriorate.
Unfortunately I had to find out the hard way that our health care system is just as corrupt as everything else in this world and we have all been conditioned to believe that doctors know everything and that they are always right.

Actually Jesus is right here right now, wherever you are, all you have to do is ask.
He's been known to set many a prisoner free.
I would not have made it through the years without him.
Maybe forget the ALA for a bit and use some DMSA to bind up the mercury asap. ALA makes me feel crappy too, bothers my head. You will get past this. Cilantro and DMSA go together well. Try a full 75-100 mgs in the evening just before bed since you obviously already have a cilantro rush. Cooked even, oh my, suppose to be extra strong that way. But the DMSA will bind it.
And pray please, never give up on God, it's what this world wants you to do. Worse than a mercury challenge, that's your soul's challenge and it will never end either. I will pray for you too. Chin up. We need you.

I totally agree with the above posts. But mercury causes such anguish and disconnection from God, that I know exactly what Jinx is talking about.
I second sosick's suggestion of DMSA Jinx. Sounds you you released a load of metals from the ALA and cilantro. I hope maybe DMSA can bind some of that back up.
Andy talks in his book about these things happening. Patients who have cause a massive redistribution, so bad as to have them behave almost psychotically. IV vitamin C was a suggestion from Andy to aid the patient in the meantime, but he said to get into DMSA (every 4 hours), OR oral DMPS every 6-8 hours. To bind the mercury back up and cure the reaction.

bex I took dmsa yesterday and it didn't help, the problem I think is not mercury floating around, I think what was stirred up has already settled and it's settled in my brain in critical areas of reasoning etc... and I am PSYCHOTIC! I don't have touch with reality anymore, and it feels a whole lot different than a couple of weeks ago, I'm sure now it's the brain mercury causing this, the brain IS LOADED with it, last time I did that ala round I ended up with my left perihperial side of the braincompletely numb and am having speech problems since (I'm assuming broca's affected).

Hi Jinx, you could be right, the mercury may have gone into the brain, but also it could have gone into other sensitive tissue. DMSA can still remove some of it, even if it's not floating around. WHere it has resettled, DMSA can sometimes get.
You have to do a few rounds of it. I know it's already done, but I have to ask what made you take the alpha lipoic acid?
I guess you're desperate and will try anything, but that stuff I'd never touch unless I was amalgam free, plus had been months away from the removal and was ready.
This is just unreal. DMPS is actually better than DMSA, but you need a prescription to get it. If you could get oral DMPS, I'd try that every 6-8 hours and keep going with it.
I know DMSA may not have seemed to help, but if you're doing it every 4 hours at a reasonable dose, it should begin to do 'something" at the very least.
I wish something could help you right now. I can't believe that you had to get that much worse from a removal. Gees, it's just ridiculous. Not only do they put poison in, they have no idea how to get it out without causing more harm.
I dont know what you. If it were me, I'd take a lot of vitamin C, vitamin E, and possibly some selenium if I tolerated it. And keep doing DMSA at small doses every 4 hours around the clock. Something has got to at least lift a little of this. Not all mental symptoms are brain mercury, so some of that mercury would have gone into other areas which would set off mental symptoms. That can happen. That's why some people have cured themselves from DMSA alone, even when they thought it was all brain mercury.

When I was dreadfully poisoned my speech was slurring also, I'd forget what I was saying in the middle of a sentence, I would forget words, weird.
But it will go away. Jinx, you need a good doctor, and you need IV chelation.

Jinx, how are you today? I have been where you are, i lived on sleeping tablets day and night. Bex is right, please dont take ALA, i have only just started it and its over a year since removal. I know your desperate to get mercury out of the brain. Im sure if you took DMSA 25mg every 4 hrs for a few days, you would feel a bit better. I found i couldnt function at all after ther dentist exposed me 3 times with mercury, i couldnt sleep, eat, think, it was so bad. I tried heavy metal detox in the begginning, it has cilantro and ALA in it and i was so suicidal, it was a big mistake. Its so bad that you cant get the rest removed, i had to borrow money from here, there and everywhere, i still owe it, even now, im still in debt over this and im still not ready to work, i get bad days even now. I just wish there was a way you get the other amalgams out. Hugs Dawn..

thx everybody, I have been feeling a bit better since eveining time... It all seems as if recovering from amnesia sort of , I find like I have to be re-learning things all over again, very strange and terryfing feeling. Has anybody had it?
as for brain mercury - I'm pretty sure it's loaded with it right now, what supplements would you guys reccommend to take to help the brain survive the oxidative stress so that after mercury has been chelated out of it it would be (almost) damage-free? Vit e, selenium, lecitihin? You think they'd be anough?
And do you guys think that once mercury enters the brain it kills the cells on contact or is it just that it impairs them but they can still survive for a long time esp with anti-oxidants present?
I might be in contact with a doc who might help me, I'm waiting for my urine test results, hope they come up positive, at least people will start believing me and I might finally get some professional help.

Oh, as far as the memory thing goes, I've just realized smthg.
I was watching episodes of season 1 Prison Break through the first half of April, and now as I've played bits of it again, it was like a whole new experience (reminds me of one sick akzheimer joke ). How would you comment on that?

Yeah I have had the same thing. I've had some very spooky stuff happen mentally that I cannot even describe. I have read books in the past that I coudln't read properly and I would have to read pages over and over, until eventually I put the book down. I'd see the words on the page fade as I was reading, so I couldn't read it properly.
Other times I would read the book no problem. Same here, with television. I've had it where I know I've seen it many times before, but you feel like you're seeing it for the first time becuase of some brain lapse or something.
Ive had movies I've seen in the past and I dont get it at all, I lose the plot, so I sit and stare at it like some vegetable and everybody else "gets it" but me.
This is why I won't watch programmes now much, or read books. I'm having too many problems.

I know how you feel ,I felt that way for 5 years but now I am doing much better I found a treatment that helped me alot even before I started to have my amalgams removed and I is something you can do now to start to remove some of the mercury and other toxins already in your system, activated charcoal is a natural absorbant of about 6000 known toxins mercury is just one of them ,if you decide to take activated charcoal you should start with 1 teaspoon 3 times a day in a 8 oz glass of water you also want to take a good multi vitamine with minerals or it will pull to many minerals out of your body, if you can not find any activated charcoal in your area here is a web sight that explains on how to make your own activated charcoal www.buyactivatedcharcoal.com/making_charcoal (take it 2 hours from any medications or will absorb them too)

I would not eat charcoal. I know it is used here and there, but charcoal can contain numerous carcinogens. Oak for instance is poisonous, many woods contain numerous substances that may not be good for you to eat. Chlorella or bentonite is a much safer way to go to absorb stomach toxins. Another easy and sure way out is to get a colonic (internal cleanse). The lady that does mine charges only $75.00 US and it made a major, major, difference for me, just the very first one. So many toxins can be flushed out in just one session, I consider it an absolute must for detoxification after my experience.
One of the best and most affordable vitamins you can buy for oxidative stress is Vitamin C, ascorbic acid type for mercury/heavy metal poisoning. You need a full 2000-3000 mgs per day if posioned. One of my doctor friends recommends even double that amount. Vitamin e is excellent also, but second to Vit C, everything is second to Vit C. Cod liver oil, mercury free, an absolute must to feel better quickly, 1 tablespoon per day. Selenium good. You need extra zinc for the mercury/heavy metal posioning also. Mercury and lead both inhibit your body's ability to access zinc, which is essential for your immune system. You may also consider adding some calcium and magnesium to replace the toxic metals that come out of your bones as you detoxify. You must provide good nutrients to replenish the poisons that are removed or your body will try to reabsorb the wrong metals simply because it needs something.
my vitamin bill while detoxifying is enormous.
betcha you have lead in your urine tests as well as mercury. The urine tests are pretty good, I wouldn't worry. Everything shows up there.
eat apples, filter your tap water with a Brita filter or comparable at minimum. Better ones are available depending on your budget but brita will remove a lot of lead, found in lots of tap water, and chlorine. A really simple thing that I have been doing that I know for sure helps my recovery, is eating dandelion salads, olive oil and lemon for dressing. Find a clean field or yard, no fertilizers or weed killers or other chemicals nearby to pick them. A little bit of lemon juice in a glass of water will also help your liver release toxins. good to drink that in the morning every day. Be careful of the soaps you use, many contain mercury. Ivory soap contains mercury. You can see the mercury and other junk in a lot of cheap soaps, take a good look, it'll have a metallic sheen. Glycerin soap may be a safer bet. Use psyllium fiber throughout the day, especially after eating, to keep your bowels moving steadily. And use a non-flouride toothpaste. The less chemicals your body has to deal with daily, the better. Avoid junk foods. Drink green tea, it has very lttle caffiene and is a great anti-oxidant. Too much caffiene may interfere with your chelating efforts and will also interfere with your body's uptake of good nutirents.
If you spend money on just a few things, make it the Vitamin C, zinc, cod liver oil, and a water filter if you can. You can use salt and baking soda in place of non-flouride toothpaste, great for the gums. Dandelions are free and green tea is so cheap I won't mention it.
Whey protien powder is also a big help. Do not use soy products.
I think your brain will be fine btw. Cells in our bodies and brains are always dying and being replaced, like dead skin sloughing, your bones, your blood, everything. If your brain were completely damaged it's doubtful you would feel any pain or notice problems. Vitamin C can help you heal. Make that top of your list.

How would you comment on that? maybe you chelated out the mercury that was attached to that memory chip. youir brain is made up of a good amount of cholesterol you know, eat healthy fats. If blood tests show your cholesterol to be slightly elevated because you are eating extra fats ( mine show kind of high when i eat extra coconut oil for instance), don't worry about it (unless it's really high). Protect your brain with a little extra cholesterol, eggs are a good choice. and of course, cod liver oil again.

hey Jinx,
Your current situation is very painful but it can be fixed. All of this mercury went into you and all of it will come out.
Getting that mercury out of your teeth is the first step. I hope you can get that done somehow. Once you get that stuff out I recommend doing clay baths or rubbing clay on your skin to help draw the mercury out of your body.
I've been there and I saw it all, just remember that suicide is never an option.
Peace and love -Colin

Sorry that you are going through what you are,but you need to do research and second guess before you take advice from anyone. Bottom line i told you it may not br=e a good idea to use dmsa or ala when you still have amalgams in,and there are many reasons why i said thatas it stirs it up and can actually pull from fillings and distribute it over your body making you worse and could do more damage. Ala crosses the blood brain barrier, meaning it can take mercry from the blood and distribute it into your brain, which is why they recommend clearing body mercry with dmsa before using ala. Another reason is dmsa is a drug wich gets flushed out via the liver, which is already burdened by toxins so a high burden of mercury, plus dmsa equals overstressed liver. Please be careful and get second and third opinions before you do anything, and also pay attention to what you body is telling you, because what works for one person may not necesseraly work for the next.

thank u everyone all for your replies.
yeah I am concerned if taking ala and dmsa with amalgams is a good idea. But I am severly poisoned I can't function and I can't affford any more drillling. I'm slipping everyday, today Ii woke up not knowing what day it is what months and my father went to hospital today (scechuled) for advanced coronary disease I wasn't even aware of it.. I'm so mentally retarted right now it's beyond descrption... I will have mercury urine test results tomorrow, maybe that will push things forward... ( meaning finding a doc who'd help me).
Guys, when asking about brain protection I didn't mean damage of signifacnt brain part , like ability to speak, walk, listen, hear, visualize etc... I mean overall intelligence (not just logical), talents... can antixodiants help preserve the brain that we will be our old selves once we chelate the emrcury out of the brain, with the same abilities, talents? Like myself, i was good at logical thinking, analysing things ad now know Hg is in those partiular areas (frontal lobes) and I don't understand basic things. Actually I think there isn't one single neuron that hasn't been affected by mercury in my brain, there are no clear brain parts that I used to feel before. I know i had some good talents, potentials to be sb and don't want to end up a moron in the future. Even if I do somewhat recover in the future, I won't stand the thought that I have been life-long ripped off.
I need an honest opion, has anybody fully recovered having their brain seriously poisoned before?
Thank u everyobdy again, and sorry this post's so self-centered but I'm, really concerned ...

I was severely posioned jinx, and still have amalgams also. Take the DMSA (it has helped me a lot) and find a doctor! Don't worry about money, just find a doctor! Maybe you can mow his lawn or something in trade. You can work this out. I need the DMSA to stay on track inbetween IV treatments. Take the DMSA! I use this formula here: http://www.healthmasters.com/products/ingredientsA-D.shtmlChelation Therapy 4 capsules supply: DMSA 100 mg EDTA 300 mg Cilantro 300 mg Chiorella 300 mg Allicin (as garlic extract) 6000 mg Fulvic acid 160 mg N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine 200 mg Alpha Lipoic Acid 100 mg It has everything in it, including some ALA, which will not bother you when taken together with all this other stuff. This is an excellent product, same exact one my doctor gives me for in between appts. I take 2-4 capsules in the evening before bed, I do not usually take it during the day unless i can feel the mercury running, I am sure you know the sensation by now. Do not eat for at least 3 hours prior to taking, or for 1 hour afterwards. best at bedtime. Do not take to many mineral supplements while using, take a couple days off each week to remineralize with supplements. Be sure to take the Vitamin C with meals.

also, with good chelation you should feel quite normal within a few weeks, including your ability to reason logically. You are still sick though, so just because the chelation makes you feel better does not mean you should stop using it.

Okay thiswill be my last post, because it is beginning to be a tug of war. As i stated previously the protocol you are going by has been proven to do permanent damage more than it helps, that's why it's not reccomended by practitiners who work with the methods of chelation, and overnight results rarely if the actually ever happen, bottom line is do one thing at a time, slow and steady, remove the source then chelate. Ever tried drying a car in the rain?

BTW, I am actually using the Healthmaster Chelation Therapy formula currently, I ran out of the ones my doctor gave me and ted sent me two bottles of these to try. It's an excellent batch, I can verify. I need to get more because he says he is going to run out of them. I actually even give my daughter a few of these once or twice a week at bedtime. She has been in much better spirits of late, not sure if it's the chelation or what but I always prefer a smile from the kid rather than a temper. I suspect it is the chelation. She is a big 5'7" 12 year old so she handles it fine in an adult dose.

Sounds like you have read some stuff on the internet but not really experienced this. I was becoming crippled prior to starting chelation. My hands were numb, all my teeth ached, I had massive headaches, my kidneys ached, my bones ached, you name it. I assume you do not use an umbrella when it rains.

I am not really referring to you,i am happy it is working for you,but his symtom/reactions may be the reason why the protocol is not reccommended. That being said i mean it hurts more people than it helps wich is why it is not reccomended. Again what works for one may not for the other.

Jinx, i vote, take DMSA around the clock every 4 hrs at 25mg for 4 days, then 4 days off. Do not take anything with ALA or cilantro, it may work for some but not for others, i think you are very sensetive at the moment. I know you are getting conflicting comments, but ALA and Cilantro are dangerous with amalgams in. Just lower your blood mercury and you will feel better. I waited a year after removal before taking ALA. You dont need to waste your money on a doctor, most of them are just making money out of you and know nothing, i would rather save the money and go to another country and get amalgams out safely, maybe the UK. i know of one dentist that may help. One more thing, please stay on the candida diet and drink loads of bottled water. Hugs Dawn.

I thought taking ALA was not recommended with amalgams still in the mouth, I heard the mercury can travel straight to the brain.

Personally Jinx, I think if you MUST chelate at all? And it seems you feel you have no other choice due to the fact you cannot functioin or even contemplate amalgam removal under the circumstances, then this is why I thought maybe a bit of DMSA taken Andy's method "might" be the lesser of all the evils right now.
I would NOT take anything with ALA or cilantro in any way shape or form or even chance those products. You saw what happened recently with both cilantro and ALA and even if taking it with DMSA may have prevented that, one can see that regardless you are obviously not ready at all for those products.
You are not under any professional and at least Andy is one, and he is available online. He makes everything CLEAR online for people who wish to chelate on his protocol. People can consult him personally, but they do not have to.
No he does not advise chelating with amalgams in the mouth, but again, you have told us that you are at your wit's end and cannot even look at amalgam removal. Ive witnessed your desperation, so this is why I suggested possibly giving it a go. It has worked for sosick, but yes everybody is different.
At least Andy's supplement protocol can be used for anybody, amalgam or non amalgam and for those who feel very bad but cannot afford to do anything. Which he says to use vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B complex, zinc, magnesium (I'd add calcium to that, it's been advised elsewhere), milk thistle, selenium, plenty of omega 3 oils like fish oil (mercury free), flaxseed oil, and hal huggins suggestions of plenty of butter for healing, plus proteins like eggs and meats.
These can help and the brain is made up of fat, so proper fats are needed. I think this regime helps protect your brain, before and during mercury toxicity, plus supports you in eliminating it.
It would be the only thing I'd ever chance recommending to anybody with amalgams, but if DMSA helps somehow to get you to any point of further functioning, even so you can get the last amalgams out, it maybe worth it.

Chelating can be traumatic, but that dos not mean it is not helping. I got welts on my skin the first couple rounds of IV chelation, just like when I was initially poisoned. i was vey concerned of course but my doctor said it's actually normal, it's a phase everyone goes through when chelating... the seemingly returning symptoms, but it's because the stuff is being drawn out from hiding. It's important to stay on chelation to get past that phase, which depending on how aggressively you are chelating can take days or several weeks. In my case it took about a month and I do still expect regression now and then. But regression is not an option to quit in my mind. My Dr is great Dawn. I know conventional medicine is a big joke but there are still a few good doctors out there. I am blessed to have found him so nearby when other people travel hundreds of miles just to see him.

I need an honest opion, has anybody fully recovered having their brain seriously poisoned before? My short term memory was horrible before my amalgam were removed. I believe this indicates brain mercury. My short and long term memory are now better than they've ever been, and better than most of my friends and family. My detox worked well for me. Hope this helps.

You know what Jinx, it occurs to me, maybe you were simply experiencing a heavy duty chelation day. It does feel terrible sometimes, but just like you are, you then feel much better the next day. Everyone at the clinic I go to mentions this, feeling pretty bad after the IV chelation, but feeling much better the next day.
Maybe, Jinx, you are actually doing this right. Just something to consider.

From my own experience, I would not use Cilantro while having amalgums still in. It was very detrimental to me.

This is not the flu he is trying to get over,be careful of the advice you give out to anyone. Praise god that it has been working for you but edta chelation has hurt numeros amouns of people as wel as dmsa when not done correctly. Why would you risk giving someone advice that could possibly end up disabling them,i would not be able to sleep if i did that to someone. Are you a doctor? Not trying to start anything but, from the gentlemans symptoms/reactions it seems certain areas need to be addressed before ay chelation should be attempted.

No I am not a doctor but I am passing along the methods and excellent information that a very good one is treating me with. I do not see the harm in that, especially if it has been extremely helpful to me. personally I would not be able to sleep knowing that I had been helped and then refused, out of fear, to help others with the same information. Jinx is not my pawn, he can make his own decisions. I truly believe my experience, and that of others, is most likely helpful to him. What say you Jinx? I have learned a lot from the experiences of others also. Unfortunately, because the medical community in general refuses to address this issue, we are left to our devices so all the info we can get is helpful, as long as it is real and sincere. We are mostly on our own here if you haven't noticed. How many cases do you have of EDTA chelation hurting someone? Is it as many cases of doing nothing hurting someone? Is it as many cases of a dentist telling someone that mercury cannot hurt them? And was it actually the EDTA or the ignorance of a nurse aid with a 105 IQ who wasn't paying attention?? If a brain cell has been killed, it wont be replaced ever. Brains mainly use glucose. That's true, elementary biology. But also elementary biology is the fact that the brain is comprised of millions of cells that never get used in a person's lifetime and these are ready to fill in when needed and capable. Unless of course your entire frontal lobe suffers a major traumatic injury, incapacitating the entire area but i don't think we are dealing with here. I hope not. I was really really poisoned and my head is pretty much ok. I know I've been damaged but I seem to have plenty of muscle left. The simple will to overcome means a lot I think. Jill, when are you going to help us sue these dentists?

People end up in mental hospitals and die because their doctors do not chelate them for problems that are intrinsically heavy metal in origin. They misdiagnose, deny, and treat the symptoms, not the cause. And it's a really big problem.
God only knows if I would be dead or half alive today if I was not chelating, with amalgams still in. And I have quite a few more than Jinx.

Jinx,
I would not chelate at all if amalgam fillings are present. Good protein diet would do you more good than chelation at this point. I would personally recommend Algin, as it will be absorbing the floating mercury, thus making you feel better. I would include these in my diet with the fillings still in: Algin, vit c, e, b-complex, magnesium, calcium, zinc, cod liver oil, and milk thirstle. Mercury likes to hide and one of the simptoms you get as the result is that mercury is not your problem. However, you mentioned about swallowing a thermometer and having mercury fillings, so you are mercury poisoned. Don't let mercury trick you that it's not the thing to blame. You will have to get all fillings removed, drilled pulled or whatever. You will never truly have brain power if you have brain mercury. I am currently having great results with chelation. But I had to get my mercury filling drilled and then the same teeth pulled due to damage from drilling. What am trying to say is that you should focus on finding a way to get all metal fillings out and taking supplements listed above. No God can help you, but only you can.

this is to (SO SICK) please do not tell poeple that charcoal is a bad thing to take, activated charcoal is very different from regular charcoal ,it is used by many natrapathic doctors as a natural detoxifer and by hospitals as a quick detox in accidental poisoning cases, many people can not use chelation therapy because it can make them very sick and can cause worst problems for those individuals ,activated charcoal along with algin is mentioned in the (d.a.m.s) news letter as a binder not a chelator to help remove mercury in the blood stream mercury poisoned persons , so please do your homework before you dicounting other detox options

um hmm, except that the link posted above by anon (you?) here, is rather dubious and potentially quite dangerous: www.buyactivatedcharcoal.com/making_charcoal (take it 2 hours from any medications or will absorb them too) please do your own homework regarding carcinogens and poisons in charcoal and various woods.

anyway, activated, not DIY charcoal, probably would have been a great thing for Jinx to take 17 years ago 30 minutes after he swallowed the thermometer, but that isn't exactly his complaint anymore.
Charcoal in your stomach daily will absorb nutrients as well possible toxins, not really helpful at all for the long term unless you need malnutrion problems also. Highly unlikely much of it enters the bloodstream, that really isn't what it's used for. It's used mostly for immediate poisoning scenarios. EDTA, which is not easily absorbed, they say only about 10% if you're lucky, and even some DMSA, which is well absorbed (and why it's highly recommended for mercury/lead in the blood), remains in your stomach for a while after taking which is why it's advised to take 2-3 days off each week to supplement without the interference of chelation binders.
Personally anon, your posting of such dubious links to backyard charcoal are a bit of insult to the intelligence of Jinx and the rest of us, who need good help right now, not cheap help.

Jinx,
Could you be more precise as to what your symptoms are. Do you have difficulty concentrating? Do you have an attention deficit? Are you constantly fatigued? Do you have a hard time waking up in the morning? How is your digestion? What do your stools look like, (refer to the Bristol Chart)?
You say you have psychotic episodes. Do you have paranoid ideas, ideas of reverence, delusions of grandeur, do you have periods where you feel lots of energy and then a few days or hours later are you suddenly depressed? How would you describe your impairments? Is you skin dry and itchy? How's your sex drive? Do you feel any physical attraction towards anyone?
What I would like you to do is to have these very accessible blood tests done if you can. It shouldn't be a problem if you have a general practionner. BUT GET A COPY OF THE RESULTS and post them here. I want you to check your thyroid status: get the [color:"blue"]TSH test done, the Free T4 AND Free T3 tests done. If you can (these can be more difficult to get done however...) also do the anti-thyroperoxidase and anti-microsomal antibodies titres as well. Post the results here and I might be able to help you further. Your symptoms can be indicative also of a deficient thyroid gland status (hypothyroidism) -- it often occurs with mercury poisonning.
Don't give up. Your situation is very similar to mine. I only found out recently that I am mercury poisonned and I am 28. Me too I want a normal life with all the things you described, the longing for love, enjoyment, etc. I had to stabilize my thyroid condition first. And you need to check it before you chelate. If you are severly poisonned I wouldn't be suprised that you have severe hypothyroidism. Thyroid hormone replacement could give you a lot back until you can chelate or completly remove the amalgams.
Hope to hear from you soon <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

i have thought this also, theres alot of involvement when it comes to replacing thyroid hormone, like checking the adrenal status and getting it sorted before thyroid meds, which i had to do, or else i could never have taken armour, even though i have been on T4 for 13 yrs. Jinx, if you decide to go this route go to www.stopthethyroidmadness.com, the people there will help you with test results and self dosing with armour or other thyroid meds and most importantly something for your adrenals first. i know for me, when i got exposed to mercury by not enough protection,i felt like you did,i believe the mercury wentstraight for my thyroid. Jinx, NORMAL is not OPTIMAL. My doctor told me everything was normal for 6 years and yeah, the results were in the normal range but I was in fact SEVERELY hypothyroid, check it out, please and get those results in here, I can help you or go to stop the thyroid madness forum, I agree, they have very competent people there about thyroid issues. HOWEVER, don't get consumed by their adrenal frenzy though, I found out that they were completly obsessed "over the top" about their adrenals, and they suggest all sorts of expensive tests for the adrenals and they suggest taking drugs for them but my endocrinologist really made it clear that stabilizing the thyroid resorts in a recovery of the adrenals. And it did for me and I am glad I didn't embark in their adrenal madness.

I have to disagree with this. As one who has had a severe adrenal collapse due to a GP's incompetent treatment of my hypothyroidism, I do not think you can be careful enough with adrenals. You are lucky if the mercury has not affected your adrenals. Because my doctor missed the signs of severe adrenal fatigue, despite me almost having to crawl into his office, my adrenals are now shot, probably for life. I consider myself to have Addison's and it is unlikely that I will get off the steroids for the rest of my life. Correct and healthy adrenal function is very precious indeed - you only realise this once it has gone, and you have to take extra steroid for every additional stress.
Stopthethyroidmadness is one of the few places where you can get detailed and knowledgeable discussion and advice about adrenal fatigue, which most doctors do not recognise or know how to treat, and leave many untreated and suffering unnecessarily.

I agree also. when a doctor tells you everything is 'normal' and you feel like crud, it''s time to find a different doctor.
You obviously have problems your current practioner either has no idea how to deal with or simply doesn't want to deal with for other reasons.
That link I gave you to that website, those doctors treat heavy metal or other environmental poisoning as the root for many many illnesses. And they know what they are doing. They are a pretty anti-mainstream medicine bunch.

No I agree that there is much usefull info about adrenals on stopthethyroidmadness forum but I find that they have a "wall to wall" approach to the thing that lacks nuance. Not everybody needs adrenal support and their approach can be misleading at times. Of course, if your adrenals are shot, then I couldn't agree more. But mine were quite on the low range, yet, only with thyroid therapy, I was able to bring them back into optimal range. I didn't need any cortisol or other supplements but people there were a little to pushy on the issue, I'm glad I listened to my endocrinologist on this one.
Do you know what I mean? It's all in the nuances and in approaching things reasonably, I guess. I found quite a few moderators there to be at times quite unreasonable. Tests and supplements cost A LOT of money and if you don't need them you don't want to throw your money away for nothing, and you don't want to use anything that your body doesn't need. That's all.

I had the saliva test done. You give spit samples at 4 different times of the day to measure your cortisol.
You can do this simple test pretty inexpensively. I think DDI charged me $145.00. Even with the test results though, me and my doctor went by how I felt. The test said I was low in the afternoon, however, my body said I need something morning, noon and afternoon AND we added just a teensy bit to my existing thyroid prescription and are testing it to see how I do.
This is why it is SO important to be informed when you walk into that doctors office. If it had not been for the Cutler book I would have just accepted I had to stick with being tired all the time when relief to just do the essentials such as making dinner for my family was just 7.5 mgs of cortisol away. It has made all the difference for me especially since I hit the mercury dumping zone.

to go on thyroid meds, getadrenals sorted first or your wasting your time, yeh, some people dont need steroids but most do to begin thyroid therapy,it helps get the meds into your cells. You only need to do the tests a couple of times, it makes chelating and life in general alot more tolerable when treated, it has save my life.
