LED lights are very promising as they are better and safer all the way around than the CFL mercury ones, but they definitely need more development... just like solar energy also... if we had only put the r&d into it years ago we would be in so much a better position now instead of the environmental crisis (and the wars over bloodlust for oil) constantly hanging over our heads.
