Thanks for sharing your experience Veggiemom. That is disappointing. I wish I could go to Dr. Shankland - it is so far away. Maybe if I test using the ED and it comes out positive I will think about going out there. But from your story, I don't even know if it's worth spending money on the ED. Is the Cavitat an ultrasound machine that measures blood flow. It's interesting because I went to Dr. Ira Klemons, who is the president of the American Craiofacial Association (or something similar) and he used an ultrasound when assessing my TMJ a couple of years ago. When he did this, you could hear that there was no blood flow in the jaw area - but of course nothing was mentioned about cavitations. I got a zillion trigger point injections along with wearing an appliance and got somewhat better but it all came back and now is worse than ever. I feel like there is bacteria trapped in the upper jaw area because that is my site of all of my reactivity - it tightens up when I take anything that I am hypersensitive to. Does anyone know of anyone in the NJ area they would recommend who is experienced with cavitations and uses the cavitat?

Thanks.
