Hi, all. I'll register for this site tonight, btw...
Anyway, I'm trying to guage the relative success of the actual amalgam removal process. Basically, my question is if I got a bad does of vapor/particles, when would the symptoms tend to show up? And what would those symptoms tend to be?
I got one taken out 2 weeks ago; no issues since (except for the symptoms I had before removal). I had another 2 taken out 3 days ago.
Last night I had a bad sore throat and bad night sweats. Slept horribly, and the melatonin I took to sleep FREAKED my brain out.
Today I'm exhausted, but not sore throat.
Thoughts?

When would the symptoms show up? That depends on the symptoms. Most physical symptoms show up right away, while emotional symptoms take time. Also, when you have days like this, you may want to ask yourself what you were doing 7, 14, and 21 days ago. You may find some interesting patterns: http://mercurytalk.com/wiki/index.php/Detoxing:Avoiding_The_Seven-Day_Immune_CycleHope this helps.

Yeah, for me I get almost immediate symptoms from vapor exposure because I have been compromised/damaged by a very bad bacterial infection years ago that I never recovered from.
So for me, I only have to walk into a dental office and I become further poisoned, just becuase of the mercury vapors that are present from the dentists previous removals.
I can notice them a few hours after exposure, because I do not consider myself normal anymore in that area. The initial symptoms are a feeling of racing heart, uncontrollable thoughts and giggling spells, and then following this, I begin to feel much more fatigued, more depression.
Yes, night sweats can be exposure to mercury! CAndida too, but if you've not really had it much before, it is likely the increased vapor exposure. I had it when I used an antifungal. I did not realise that candida can absorb mercury and sometimes in phenomenal amounts, holding even its own weight in mercury. Well, using an antifungal ended up blasting a lot of candida in one shot, splitting open the cell walls and releasing the stored mercury.
The reaction was incredible, and far beyond normal candida die off. i actually tasted metal in my mouth. I had night sweats so bad that I drenched my sheets nad nightwear and had to get up and change. I was acutely poisoned basically and ended up having to use DMSA to chelate it back out. Overtime the DMSA helped.
So yes, flu like symptoms, night sweats, depression, fatigue and all those things can indeed be from mercury exposure. REally it is UNAVOIDABLE, even if you go into the best dental office, the cleanest one, and even if you dont even get your own amalgams out, just being there can impact a person.
It also depends on sensitivity and toxic load.

Thanks a million.
So, what's your take on attacking candida, then? Wait until chelation? How can you kill the candida and protect yourself from the unleashed mercury?

The night I had the sweats... that day I stuck to a strict candida diet - for the first time ever.
No carbs, no sugar at all, just meat, cucumber, spinach, and some almonds.
COuld that have caused the night sweats?
I realized that when my health issues came on suddenly, I had been eating a ton of ice cream, pizza, bread and frozen fruit. i mean, tons. I also had been on Lamisil for foot fungus 5 months ago.
I wonder if candida is a big issue for me. I'm starting to think it is. But I'm scared of mercury release from killing it off.

CAndida is fine to address immediately. The only risk is aggressive antifungal use, because they act to kill candida yeast cells on contact. THey split the cell walls open, which is why I had a really bad reaction when I used them.
Previously to doing that, i had simply gone on the candida diet. This definitely did bring symptoms, but they were mostly detox/die off from the yeast. It seemed to me, that it was a much safer and slow way of doing it. I hear they basically shrivel and die through lack of feeding and though they release their "death toxins" and you can get increased symptoms because of this, you won't be as likely to get massive load of it at onetime or mercury.
You may get "some" but not compared to the antifungals. And die of from candida can be hard to distinguish sometimes from mercury toxicity. Night sweats can be either. So you won't always know which one is the culprit. I only figured it was after the antifungals due to tasting metals and chelation being able to improve my symptoms.
The candida diet is fine, healthy and even if you don't have candida, it is still very good to do for healing anyway. It's not just focussed on candida, it's focussed on improving the immune system and lessening toxic load.
So yeah it's likely your strict diet may well have released a lot of toxins and some of it "may" be metal, but it is much slower and safer, so if I were you, I'd stick to it. Antifungals? I'd be more wary about until much later when you can tolerate them better. You can however still use antifungals to a point in your own foods. like garlic, onions, coconut oil etc. They can be more than enough in themselves.

Excellent advice, I killed off too much candida too fast and released alot of mercury, and it was pretty painful to get thru...stick to the diet and go really slow when you do decide to use antifungals.
Best luck Sandi xoxo
