Last week I called my local healthfood shop, and the manager answered the phone,I wanted to tell them that I had discovered the msg in 1 of their bestselling soup stocks,
& at first he wanted to put me on to someone else, saying that there was no way there could be any msg in that product, that his family have eaten it for years & that they are aware of &against the use of msg.I told him that if it was not msg in it's purest form it could be labelled as a different name, such as "hydrolised vegetable protein",
He stayed on the phone &muttered something about problems with food companies &said he'll ask his wife,&she'd return the call.So that evening she called & said that yes there was some form of glutamate in the stock &that if she was to eliminate all the products with forms of glutamate in them, she would have nothing left in that section of the shop.
I told her of my concerns of msg &that I have been sick, mercury toxic etc.,she then said it would be better for me to avoid these products at the moment! but that they were perfectly safe products. Now that is a huge contradiction. She said how msg is a natural product, from carageenan in the sea,but I have done my research &the msg &derivatives
added in foods today are not natural forms, the glutamate is isolated from the protein,as a chemical &added to the foods& then providing glutamate to the body in high levels,it does not have to be digested first.
My faith has been greatly shaken here.
She told me that she knows when there's msg in a food, like when she's eating a takeaway,(I would love to know why someone with all this knowledge &resources at the fingertips should be eating a takeaway in the first place, that's perhaps besides the point.)
This is my local HFS & they all know me &my son in there, when I went in the other day,as I was leaving ,one of the girls put a few goodies in the bag for me like colouring pencils for my son &some sample sachets of "herbamore"
At first I thought, that was nice &then I wondered did it have something to do with the msg conversation.
Maybe I'm being paranoid.
It's a product made according to an original recipeof the world famous Swiss Naturopath A.Vogel, I
already buy his Echinacea drops.
I have learned my lesson &am 100% wary of ALL PRODUCTS NOW.Would you trust this product?Sounds good but
The product is called "Herbamare original"herb seasoning salt,
Ingredients:Sea salt,celery*leek*watercress*onion*chives*
parsley*lovage*garlic*basil*majoram*thyme*,kelp
(* Organically grown)
That little "kelp" at the end.
Now I think I'm just being paranoid &spending too much time &energy on this.
I will just not take the chance.
MSG presumably in most foods.
