I'm still having a rough ride. Two physicians that I work with disagree over whether I have Celiac Disease (gluten intolerance) or not.

I'd rather not have to go on such a limiting diet but I have since I am very sick and nothing else seems to help me. I'm just a few days into it but I feel somewhat better than I did last week.

I was surfing on the internet last week and I came across this site (www.dogtorj.net) which was created by a veterinarian. After reading it I've decided that I have to make some major changes in my diet if I'm going to have any chance of getting better.

I don't know if mercury is an issue or if it ever was. From what I can tell gluten intolerance and mercury toxicity can coexist so maybe I'm suffering from both problems.

I better get a handle on this soon or I'll be too sick to work. Does anyone have any comments or suggestions?

Thanks,

Aaron

You won't know unless you do it. If you wait for a diagnosis, you may never get one because testing can often miss problems like this.

The things that will mess you up are sugar, gluten, (or in fact any grains at all), yeast etc. It could be candida that you have, as mercury usually allows overgrowth to occur and then you end up with a whole lot of problems, which yu might attribute all to mercury and often it isn't always. Candida and mercury can also cause gluten intolerance OR gluten intolerance can attribute to these conditions. I think it can go either way.

Problem is, many people are addicted to the very foods that feed the problem, so they do not want to give them up. therefore they just keep struggling with the same issues.

If I can do it anybody can. Giving those foods up was awful for me in the beginning, i was actually crying because of the cravings. But I kept going and finally saw results. Sometimes you have no choice if you want to see improvements. Also, when you are sick with candida/gluten intolerance, you can end up either overweight or underweight. This is because you are actually being starved of nutrients, so you constantly feel like eating or you may even lose your appetite completely. It's odd, but it seems it can go either way. It's just a form of being ill. I have had it both ways. I've been overweight and underweight, but the problem was usually the same.

The only way to know if the diet is causing issue is to actually do it. It's not as though it's going to hurt a person, it is very healthy to give those things up, even for a person in normal health. So the only side effect is temporary pain from the withdrawal. Some people may improve right away, others get worse temporarily.

So, I'd say you'd do well getting off these things regardless. Also, I heard that grain is often treated with mercury in fungicide...so not sure, but perhaps this could be part of the issue.

There I would go for organic meats. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

We have, in the local grocery store near me, an item called 'Laura's Lean Beef'. This is a regular, big name chain grocery store.

Organic fed beef, no antibiotics, and quite tasty. maybe ask your local grocery store manager to order some. Grocery store managers are generally quite amiacable in regard to good new things they can sell.

They also sell Amish chicken here, same deal, organic fed, no antibiotics.

And then of course there is fish. Fresh water farmed fish generally does not have any mercury content.

Well, so far, so bad. I know that this is early in the game (eight days gluten free) but I'm suffering from severe depression today.

Could this be part of the withdrawal syndrome? I'm determined to stick this out through May but it's not going to be easy.

I've already had to excuse myself from certain social events because I can't stand to be around people that are eating things that I can't eat. I'm already lonely and isolated and this is making things worse.

My doctor says that for some people if they can get past the first 4-6 weeks that the health benefits are so good that they don't care about what they can't eat.

I'm trying to be optimistic but no matter what I do I can't escape from this black hole.

Hang in there Aaron. Don't forget, because you are avoiding gluten (and hence, most "carbos"), not only are you going through withdrawal, but also the "unhealthy" bacteria in your colon that used to thrive on these foods is likely to be dying off, which in turn, may be releasing mercury and other toxins into your system.

Personally, I'd be taking extra Algin, extra vitamin C and E, and even Licorice Root or an herbal combination like HY-A to help balance your blood sugar levels and keep them from dropping. Low blood sugar can definitely make you feel depressed, anti-social, irritable, "brain-dead" and the like. You might also feel better by eating smaller meals several times throughout the day, making sure you have at least a little extra protein with each meal, which will also help stabilize your blood sugar.

We're all cheering for you! Keep us posted <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thanks, Laura. I could be experiencing a Herxheimer reaction and/or withdrawal.

Some of the things you recommended I've already been taking and some of the things I might add. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of funds to use for supplements right now so I have to take the bare essentials.

I discovered some time ago that I'm hypoglycemic and I know that I become very irritable if I become hungry so I try to eat more frequently than three times a day.

I was putting this off because I knew that I would have to isolate myself more, at least temporarily, while my body chemistry changes.

If this doesn't work I still have a few more options.

Unfortunately I'm still in hell. I've been on my new diet for two weeks (and I'm still fine tuning it) but so far this big, black cloud won't go away. I know that it probably takes longer than that to work if it works but I don't feel like I have a lot of time.

I'm thinking about getting an injection of ketamine (see http://www.ketamine.com/antidepressant-potential.html) to at least temporarily relieve my depression. It works differently than antidepressants do and it could help me. I'd rather not resort to drugs but I'm badly in need of some help and even Cutler advocates the use of certain drugs such as antidepressants during detox to survive.

The use of ketamine for depression is still experimental but my doctor has offered me that option.

I did not take any chelating agents during April because I thought that I had pushed too hard on that and I wanted to give my body a rest. Unfortunately April turned out being one of my worst months in the recent past. It could be that I stopped for too long and Cutler warns against that in his book.

Does anyone have any more ideas on how I can get some relief from this agony?

HI Aaron, if you're still fine tuning your diet, you may not get much relief until you're on it completely. It takes time, even for someone completely on the diet to get relief and i mean weeks or more.

You cannot have any sugar whatsoever, and that goes for milk, fruit and honey (at least in the early stages). You actually get enough from vegetables, and tomatoes are "technically" fruits, so you get more than enough from them. Lemons are allowed also. You get a lot of energy from the fats butter, olive oil coconut oil, fish oil (mercury free), as well. Eggs and meat are a big part of this diet, and I need them to fill myself up.

I don't know what you're having so I cannot really judge. IT is hard, but some of us dont have a lot of choice. I dont enjoy doing it, but it's either this or goodness knows what.

If you do that diet, plus push on if you can with chelation, and get any helpful relief as well from what the doc may give you, here's hoping you may get somewhere. It is really hard. Nightmarish.

After me cheating on this diet so many times, I have had to finally pull my head in and simply stick to it. IT is not easy, I feel sleepy, fatigued, and quite depressed, but it's only been a week, so I am hoping that this will lift soon. If I cheat, I will kick myself. I am doing everything I can NOT to.

I have a major addiction to sugar and anything like bread, pizza etc, and if I binge, I won't stop. Either I overeat, or I lose my appetite with this thing.

I'm sure the diet is healthy but I've found myself going nearly insane just trying to figure out what to eat. I think that I'm going to kill myself because I can't stand the pain any longer. Then I won't have to worry about what I can eat.

Well, this time I've really fallen off the wagon, so I feel like nothing is helping, but I'll let you know in a few weeks. However, in the past? Diet was actually the only way of me even coping.

IT didn't cure me, but it lifted me. Less depression, less anxiety, better sleep, more energy, no itching in certain areas, better appearance etc. But the underlining problem still very strong, so strong in fact, it's like battling the whole time. One wrong move, and I collapse. I cannot afford to really do a thing wrong. Diet is all I have, because the real problem is not being dealt with, nobody really knows exactly what it is, or tests give contradictory results. Very hard.

This time, after cheating many times, I'm finding it difficult to get back to that. Not seeing reuslts right now. So feeling disheartened. But again, maybe in a few weeks I will.

I know Aaron, it is really hard, but I try and tell myself it's just ":food". That is all. I mean I have to actualy consider there are people starving out there, so surely my limited diet is actually not that much of a sacrifice. I mean plenty of eggs, meat, liver, chicken, vegetables, you do get used to it. Plenty of the fats, and you maybe able to eat some plain sugar free acidophilus yoghurt and some raw nuts like brazil and almonds.

It does take a bit to get into this, but if it works, then I don't see why it's such a huge deal. It is at first becuase you are not used to it. And also any candida issues you have, will really create cravings because they do not like being starved to death.

I hope you do not kill yourself!!! I'm not trying to pressure you, Im really trying to give you some way that may actually alleviate some of this problem. If any of your issues is yeast, then you will never know unless you treat it. Testing this or that, often does nt give accurate results. I got told I had no candida at all. That was rubbish, even after testing.
Once I did the diet, I went through die off and had symptoms from yeast spilling their toxins and alcohols (I even felt drunk). I improved after 3 weeks. Not easy, but I kept at it.

It's an option Aaron, not a pressure. But it's the only option I have, plus the supplements in order to aid some of your symptoms whilst you chelate the mercury. I dont know of any medication that will do the job for you. If I did, I'd be taking it myself.

I'm sorry, Bex. I'm in tremendous pain and trying to do anything is hard much less making major dietary changs. Maybe my agitation is a sign that the diet is working and maybe that I'm doing it wrong and maybe nothing at all. I don't know what to believe any longer.

Hi Aaron, it's ok, I know it's overwhelming. I have a lot of empathy for you. You can only do so much as far as you are able.

The dietry changes dont have to be done at once. People can gradually limit their intake. E.g. I used to do a limited candida diet and I was still eating gluten free grains, some fruit, milk with my cereal and teas, acidophilus yoghurt, nuts, meats, eggs etc. I mean at that stage even that helped (then).

I just made sure I ousted the sugar basically and gluten/yeast. But I still ate all of the other stuff. It's not the best, but it's a start if you wanted to try doing that.

But otherwise, it's up to you. I hope that someone might be able to help you further. And your symptoms now may well be to do with withdrawal from what you have already removed.

It's awful to have to handle so many things at once.

I eat just about anything good, preferably organic, including fruit, lots of fruit smoothies, every day at least one big one, keeps my bowels regular. Pectin in fruit (granny smith apples very high in pectin) is a well known detoxifier. I have avoided white wheat/white rice products for a long time, so generally always whole grains. I am a pasta lover so avoiding wheat is not an option here. Brown rice is usually a good lifter upper for me, I make a great stir fry for instance. I do avoid cane sugar items, and have for years. Xylitol is my favorive sweetener, I have some stevia plants but have never actually used them yet, don't know why, am happy with xylitol I guess (and honey). I don't have a yeast problem that I am aware of. There is sugar in beer and wine, which I do drink occasionally but not much really, a few beers or so a week at the very most, and many weeks without. of course i enjoy a ginger beer now and then also and even drink coke occassionally. But not an every day habit with anything sugary.

From everything I have read here it would seem I should have a yeast problem, but i don't, don't know why, maybe the xylitol. I do drink a lot of green tea, have also done that for years. I love eggs., eat them a few times a week, scrambled or soft boiled. Maybe all the garlic I eat keeps yeast at bay, i love hommous with lots of garlic, another reason I won't ever avoid wheat (eg whole wheat pita w/hommous, I eat that more than anything else on a regular basis, except the smoothies)... maybe the thyme I sprinkle on the hommous keeps the yeast away... I also like to eat salads. I have avoided soy products (except some soy sauce now and then) and hydogenated fats for years. i do not use canola oil, only olive or grapeseed, some corn oil for french fires and stuff. I have stopped eating salt water fish for the most part. too bad, I used to love sushi but i am afraid to eat it these days. I have been using psyllium fiber also the past 5-7 months or so. Organic yams are real sweet and they also make me fel real good afterwards.

No yeast, not enough to complain about anyway. And no depression, but I tend to thank Jesus for that.

Someone suggested that I start out by eliminating wheat, dairy, and sugar for two weeks and see how I feel. I've eliminated probably 90% of those things in the last two weeks and I feel different but definitely not better. If anything my mood swings are intensifying. I was told that I may get worse before I get better and that may be what is happening as my body protests the loss of those foods and the mind altering chemicals in them. If I understand this correctly the gliadamorphins and casmomorphins in those foods suppress neural activity and the glutamate and aspartate intesify neural acitivity so it's hard for one's body to get used to not having them, even if they are making you sick. Of course that's the definition of addiction.

That's a pretty good diet but the wheat could still be causing problems. I hate to say that because I also love pasta. Read about wheat at www.dogtorj.net. The article The Answer is particularly good.

So far I'm still having a very rough ride. I've been working on my diet during the last month and I've gotten most of the processed food out of my diet. I've lost 20 pounds (long overdue with more to go) and I've noticed that the unsightly white paste that formed on my lips when I slept is gone now. My chronic fatigue and pain is maybe 20-30% less.

However, mentally I'm still a mess. From what I've read a gluten free/casein free diet can take six months or more to relieve depression and that's tough because I'm having suicidal thoughts every day. Of course traumatic brain injury and mercury are probably still problems as well.

Do I feel so lousy because I'm going through withdrawal and detoxification or is this just part of my regular illness?

Besides inconvenience the downside of the dietary changes is that I must isolate myself so I'm not around other people eating things that I can't eat. Unfortunately that increases my loneliness and depression.

I'm going to see my therapist and doctors this week but I must admit that I don't feel very hopeful.

I've had a few good days in the last couple of weeks but this is very tough. A week ago I was feeling good but I broke down and I ate a piece of chocolate cake. I don't know if that did it but I was down the rest of the week after that.

Most of Saturday was good but in the evening I started spinning out again which was very discouraging. I liken that to Russ' analogy of a roller coaster drive.

Otherwise I have stuck to my new diet and I have lost 20-25 pounds since I started and people say that I look good. The chronic pain and fatigue that I was experiencing has probably been cut almost in half. However, mentally I'm still a mess and I have a long way to go.

Sugary foods really throw me a loop also, I try to avouid them, luckily am not a sugar or cake lover, never have been. Everything in moderation in that corner for me. Cake may also contain baking soda with aluminum in it. You can make your own with non-alum baking powder/soda (Red Mill makes non-aluminun baking products) and use xylitol instead of sugar, even honey. Only cane sugar does that to me, I am fine with honey etc. Can't comment on sugar substitutes like sucralose or aspartame (ughh) because I haven't eaten anything with them in years.

I've read a lots of nasty stuff about wheat, probably all true, but I continue to eat it, haven't found a good viable bread/pasta subsitute I guess. I suppose we could make all of our bread/pasta but I really haven't got the time. I maybe will get into a habit of throwing soem stuff together with yeast and just do it, bread is really easy to make. The Red Mill products seem pretty good, they have brown rice flour which is an option, bean powders, flax meal. Still the pasta... because I eat a lot of pesto in the summer. A pain to make pasta have tried it before. I am a bit nervous about buying wheat products these days that's a fact. I bought some whole wheat noodles several months ago, hodgens mill I think, and they gave me quite a stomach ache. Maybe some chinese fillers in there or handfuls of sevin dust who knows.

Cilantro helps my head a lot btw, although many here seem tio shun it. It really helps keep my head clear. Another favorite an affordable item of mine is the colonic to clear the gut of mercury that gets dumped there from chelating, or even just my mouth. I have been paying attention to the way I feel and it seems a colonic is necessary for me about 3-4 weeks to avoid lower back pain/ burning, and weak stomach/colon mucles, and other related weird mercury/toxin stuff.

Hi aaron, I feel discouraged because I have been following a good diet (as I used to) for over a week now with no change. Normally this would have given improvements by now and this time it's not.

I dont knw what to do, but am hanging in there somehow. I cheated over a week ago with eating sausages, hot chips with some tomatoe sauce and later on potatoe crisps. Just that alone sunk me into a far worse state and next day I had headaches, crying etc. I thought it was die off (probably was), so I was encouraged that it would mean following improvement...

Well one week later, I am still feeling very bad.. So I know what you mean about this diet thing. It is really hard to hang in there when you still feel revolting. Just glad you have been having some good days though! That is encouraging and hope you can stick this out and not cheat (at times it's bordering on impossible eh?).

I'm happy that the side effect from this has enabled you to lose some weight in the process. Amazing how the body can start to balance itself out when it begins to get what it needs and you eliminate the stuff that causes problems.

Main thing is of course health and improved sense of well being and mental happiness. That is something that many of us are chasing and only glimpsing at times and attempting to hang on to. Health is a gift for sure and more valuable than any riches on earth.

At any rate, just want to ask you how long do youthink it took you to improve on the diet? Plus how long do you think it takes you to improve after a cheat? I am feeling really discouraged at the moment.

thanks.

Bex, I would say that it took a month before I was really feeling some significant benefits from my dietary changes. Five days after eating the chocolate cake I felt good but it only lasted several hours.

Today I have been suffering from a lot of seizures. If I understand this correctly withdrawing from the gliadamorphins and casomorphins in wheat and dairy products may be causing those and in addition to that mercury lowers the seizure threshold. Also, in my case I'm suffering from a traumatic brain injury.

According to Dr. Symes (www.dogtorj.net) it can take a year for the brain to recover from the effects of casomorphins and gliadamorphins.

In short, Bex, I really can't give you any timetable because every individual is unique and I believe that chronic illnesses are caused by multiple factors.

I've seen enough health benefits to keep on doing what I'm doing. The first month was pure hell but as I see more health benefits I have more incentive to stick with the new diet and the cravings are not as bad as they used to be.

I cheated over a week ago with eating sausages,

SAUSAGES!!!???

Tsk Tsk, nitrite city no wonder you are not healing.

do not eat food with nitrites or is it nitrates, either way, avoid both. No grocery store sausages, cold cuts or packaged meats, ever.

Some of the very worst stuff you can eat is packaged meats. If the mercury doesn't kill you, the nitrites surely will.

Have you been doing that on a regular basis? maybe that is one good reason I heal so much faster, I haven't touched nitrates/nitrites in years except for a slice of bacon or two maybe twice yearly.

Need cold cuts, bake a roast beef or a chicken. Nitrites are equal to aspartame for health benefits, maybe worse.

Hi sosick, no I do not eat sausages at all normally. I ate them years ago and didn't feel well, but recovered much better because I was not as ill as I am now. But that should have been a big enough warning never to touch them again.

I was at my brother's house this time around and got very very hungry. His wife was cooking sausages with cheese and of course what did I do? I gave in and ate them. Well, aside from the hot chips (potatoes which feed candida) you can imagine.

ONe week later I'm still not ok. I dont know if it's the nitrates or what, but my yeast issues are not resolving at all, even on this diet this time around.

Thanx for posting that though because I'll be sure to never touch them again. Normally I eat roast beef, chicken, beef livers, lamb, vegetables, yoghurt, nuts etc. So I do eat very well. Do you think the nitrates on that one meal would have caused this much damage???? I mean it's been over a week now.

Thanx also Aaron for your comments. Yep, everybody is different and yes so much of this is not just mercury but many other issues rolled into one. If it was just mercury I'd not be here now because I was already healing from that years ago. Now it's much more in the mix, which is why I dont respond to chelation I guess.

I hope that my symptoms might improve a bit though on this diet, I am trying hard but seemingly getting nowhere. You say it took you about a month or so...well I hope that in my case it does also (preferably earlier). <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I actually get into fights here and there with people who want to feed me nitrite laden meats. I am aghast they would pile my plate with it, a polite no thanks doesn't work in that situation... people always get offended when you won't eat their food. 'What, not good enough for you eh?"

I always tell them 'ask me again in 10 years.' Unbelievable some of the garbage people call food.

I'd stay away from the beef liver too. Think about the role your own plays.

And yeah, a bad meal will hurt me for a couple weeks. Lots of fruit smoothies and fiber is my cure but it takes time. Vitamin C to help oxidative stress. Add dandelion salads and try eating aloe to flush it out. Lamb chops with garlic and fennel is great, one of my favorites, always feel good after that.

Hi sosick, I havent had issues with beef liver oddly enough....

I cannot eat fruit, if I do my candida gets far worse. In fact one banana for me is pretty awful with what it can do. I'm bad enough now and cannot really get it back under control. I cannt eat grains or potatoes either. It is that bad for some people. others? no, they do not have quite the yeast issues and can pretty much stay on a healthy diet, so long as they simply exclude sugars etc.

I used to be able to eat fruit and non gluten grain and even some milk, so i thought everybody else should be ok on that too. Only when you yourself get candida badly enough will you realise even these foods can be terrible for you. And unfortunately that's what has occured with myself.

My diet is so heavily restricted now as to be something I loathe. But when you get itching in certain areas that can drive you insane, keep you up all night, simply because you decided to eat some fruit or potatoes or whatever, it is not worth it. I have itching anyway but when I go off this diet even slightly it increases ten fold.

I feel the yeast inside of me has gotten stronger recently and not sure why that is. This time around I am not getting on top of it.

hmmm... I think if I were you I would bite the bullet and do one of those 3 week candida cleanse programs (the type of product you buy at a health food store).

I've used the Garden of Life fungal defense one, seems to work well. I also picked up something called Paragone several weeks ago, did that one for 4 days, missed my bananas too much... but 4 days is better than nothing I figure. I don;t seem to have a yeast problem that I notice, but I was feeling as if I might be headed that way a couple months back when my mercury was higher so I picked that up, 4 dys on it did do something for me. I will finish it after I get this major big amalgam tooth pulled, after that is healed, maybe in a few weeks.. I am going to try to get that tooth done this week..

Funny, I went in for a colonic today, what a relief... I was really starting to feel mercury gut again so I am trying to stay on that top of that with the colonics which work real good... I can feel the sensation/achy/numbing/hot sensations of the mercury as it spreads from my stomach to my lower back, hips, thighs, knees... but anyway the colonic lady starts telling me about a big amalgam that she thinks is bothering her and wants to get pulled also... Same tooth as mine! lower left rear... and her symptoms/complaints seem identical also!

I had a yeast problem for a while when I was younger and I was so sensitive to everything also, lots of allergies when you have yeast overload.

Hi, I may well have to do one of those cleanses! I'm hoping diet alone will improve me at the moment because I'm scared that I'll end up relying too much on other things and find I end up having to use them permanently.

But again, if the diet does not work (been on it strictly for about a week now), then I shall have no choice. I cannot go on as I am, I am not functioning properly, exhausted, mood swings, fearful, depressed and my own father is pretty much having to help me daily. not good. So I really need some energy and health and stabiity to cope better.

I dont guess that one week is long enough I suppose to really judge after a cheat, so I'll give it a big longer before I judge. I dont know if I should be having my acidophilus yoghurt and almonds, apparently they are not always advised....

It sounds like your body responds more than mine does to things. That is good. funny you should mention lower left teeth, because accoding to a dentist that checked out my panoramic xray, he seemed to feel that he spotted a bacterial trap due to a very leaky filling on that lower left side...not sure what to make of that. Either he meant MY left, or the left of the xray. Not sure.

But a doctor here detected gangrene with his EAV on the lower left side of my jaw, which he thinks is a cavitation. He called it dead pulp, so who knows? xray doesn't really show anything clearly and bone scan showed cavitations elsewhere (top sites) not bottom. So it's very confusing.

That's great that the colonic helped you like that. Yeah the only thing you can do really is try and stay on top of things and keep there if you can before the ongoing leaking mercury gets a chance to build up too much and weigh you right down again.

It never ends really when there is some ongoing issue in the mouth. Mine may not be mercury but it sure is toxicity of some kind.

I do respond well... now. But that wasn't true when I was in my early twenties. The candida cleanse I did way back then turned my life around. I had previously been ultra sensitive to so many things.

Since then I have picked up candia cleanse products I think only twice just in the past couple years or so... a very good thing to have handy. I got the Garden of Life product about 2 years ago after I had a really serious reaction to mold in our new location. Thing is, I should not have had such a serious reaction and to me that indicates candida yeast, even though I wasn't feeling all that yucky otherwise. I did the whole round of that I think, well no, because there are several tablets in a bottle left here so I didn't have a major problem but I haven't had the mold allergy since either.

You need to do the full 3 weeks program the very first time, most are 2-3 weeks so whatever the product you use indicates. The do not make you feel good the first week, be prepared for that but stick with it. After 10 days you will be much much better. those products really work.

Costs about $25/30.00 US, well worth it.

When meat( processed or not) is cooked nitrates react and become nitrites and then nitrosamines. There are significant levels of nitrsamines in cooked meat left at room temperature for several minutes. In any case nitrosamines don't compre to hg in toxicity.

SoSick, I have replaced wheat pasta with organic brown rice pasta. It's still a processed food but it's better than the gluten grains. I've found that I still can't cut out all of the grain in my diet even if that's a healthy thing to do.

Of course the body doesn't respond well to rapid change so I'm trying not to go too fast.

Regarding packaged meats you can find some with no nitrites or nitrates in them if you go to the right store. I have eaten packaged turkey like that.

Sugary foods really throw me a loop also, I try to avouid them, luckily am not a sugar or cake lover, never have been. Everything in moderation in that corner for me. Cake may also contain baking soda with aluminum in it. I would love brown rice pasta, but I have never seen it in any store around here. can you send me some? Just kidding. I love brown rice, makes me feel great and great for skin/vein health too. Maybe if I request it at the local supermarket they will order some. What is the brand name?

The packaged turkey meats use a different preservative I know, forget the name though. We eat it now and then but rarely. I don't think I eat enough of packaged meats to have a sufficient body tolerance of any of them though, feel kind of ratty for a few days after eating any of that type of stuff, including the turkey. Pork literally makes me ill. I am happier without any of them. I guess once I got weaned off I discovered a big difference in my health and prefer the weaned off position.

We eat a lot of burritos made with left over chicken, beef etc. instead of sandwiches though cream cheese and pickles are one sandwich we love around here. Of course we make our own out of this world kosher pickles from the garden which would help explain that...

I'd greatly appreciate ther name of the brown rice pasta! I bake with organic brown rice flour.
