Bex, I would say that it took a month before I was really feeling some significant benefits from my dietary changes. Five days after eating the chocolate cake I felt good but it only lasted several hours. Today I have been suffering from a lot of seizures. If I understand this correctly withdrawing from the gliadamorphins and casomorphins in wheat and dairy products may be causing those and in addition to that mercury lowers the seizure threshold. Also, in my case I'm suffering from a traumatic brain injury. According to Dr. Symes ( www.dogtorj.net) it can take a year for the brain to recover from the effects of casomorphins and gliadamorphins. In short, Bex, I really can't give you any timetable because every individual is unique and I believe that chronic illnesses are caused by multiple factors. I've seen enough health benefits to keep on doing what I'm doing. The first month was pure hell but as I see more health benefits I have more incentive to stick with the new diet and the cravings are not as bad as they used to be.
