ditto on so many items...
amalgams since childhood... no major health issues (too ignorant to place blame on mercury for minor accumulating issues) till age 47 when a really dumb set of dentists did some really dangerous work without forewarning me of possible danger.... amalgam fillings cracking teeth so I go to have one fixed... dentist recommends crown... takes drill and zips off amalgam filled tooth... next day... VERY stiif neck... 3 days later arms are numb... cannot move bowels... kidneys feel as though they are going to explode, large pus fulled welts on stomach, very itchy face neck shoulders, extreme arthritic like condition, difficulty walking, heart feels like it is in slow motion... return to dentist (must have friend drive car, too weak) to have temp crown removed thinking it is plastic allergy... use herbal product to flush system, get bowels moving... better after a few days but still in bad shape several weeks later... strength gone from arms, joint pain.. all sorts of misc complaints... find doctor for allergy/heavy metal detox... do blood tests/fecal/urine... main problem determined to be off the charts mercury toxicity (w/lead, cadmium, and uranium high also), start EDTA, using chlorella, lots of pysllium fiber to keep bowels moving... using DMSA w/EDTA and some DMPS also... amalgams still in, waiting to start safe removal... functioning but far from good health of summer 2006.
BTW, I see a lot of recommedations against chelating with amalgams still in. This is illogical. Yes, chelating mobilzes the mercury, but without chelating it is like a cup that is full and then overflowing.... chelating does not add to the burden. Chelating helps remove what is able to be removed, it does not add to what is already existing and potentially able to cause more harm. At least with the chelating some of the mercury is being removed (instead of sinking into more new places) and certainly other things that can combine with it...
I got a lot of mercury in my stomach and it feels like ---- well you know, 4 letters... and am going to try a colonic tomorrow. Wish me luck, hope I return safely.
I hesitate to blame all of my problems on mercury. Tho I must say, after a day of some really heavy duty chelating at the dr's office last week, I earned the most clearheaded day I can remember since childhood. I would like more of those., and that, obviously, was the result of some really good chelating.
