Hi Jinx, yes it can. Not all this is brain mercury, some is liver etc, they can all cause mental symptoms. Most of course will probably be brain as the mercury usually ends up there.
Yeah the brain can and does heal. Once a person reduces their blood levels of mercury, they can then use something to help detox the brain like lipoic acid, but used safely.
Also, essential fatty acids help heal the brain becuase the brain is made up mostly of fat. Andy Cutler recommends flaxseed oil (up to 2 tablespoons daily, mixed in plain yoghurt or with cottage cheese etc) and borage oil with it. Reason being these are more economical than taking piles of fish oil. I think it's good to have them all to be honest, butter as well.
But once enough mercury has been removed, yes things can and do repair. But whilst the mercury is there, you will continue to have these feelings. I experience them all too. It is like not being "you" anymore and not really seeing other people as interesting as much. I feel like I have no feeling. And yes I have trouble reading and watching programmes and I often get mental fears of things that don't make sense. So I'm half dead, then I'm afraid for no reason, and have no interest all at the sametime.
It's like being alive, yet not really existing.
