Andrew Cutler did not go to medical school .I did . He did'nt even study biochemistry. He is a chemist.
As I said before, look at the physicians desk reference on the side effects of prednisone etc even when used medicinally to make up for alleged deficiencies. Also go to a holistic MD, not an endocrinologist who would love to hook you on hormones. Just because a substance is natural does'nt mean it is'nt harmful.People with diabetes have all kinds of health problems even when on insulin.
I did'nt say hormone supplements were toxic ;I said they prevent your body from detoxifying and impair your ability to produce hormones. Also its difficult to assess cortisol levels since they are so variable from day to day.
If you want to increase your chance of osteoporosis, cancer etc etc go ahead. It's better to figure out why one's body is not producing the proper levels of these hormones.
If patients leave the doctor's office without a perscription, they feel like they wasted time and money so doctors love to write them and keep you returning, often years later for problems that are side effects of those prescriptions.
