Hi sosick, well there seems to be opinions on this on both sides of the fence. I myself am undecided. Not sure. I know my dentist here in my country only ever allows the use of NDF for a chelating agent whilst people have amalgams, as he has studied extensively and seems to feel this is ok to use before, during and after amalgam removal. He actually does this to help prepare the patient for the removal, to get their body to begin detoxing already. The NDF apparently does not cause problems with amalgams still in. However, he does not allow other chelating agents. He will allow vitamin C, selenium, and a multi that has plenty in it that increases glutathione etc, plus the NDF and supportive homeopathic drainage, but that's about it (digestive enzymes too), plus the candida diet. Tha'ts pretty much what he does. But really I do not know what is best. But it seems things are working for you and if that is helping and at least sustaining you on some level, then you should probably keep it up. It may allow you to get strong enough for amalgam removal too. There is a lady who deals in candida online (and all aspects of health) who believes that her diet alone and the fats she advises people consume are enough to naturally chelate heavy metals out. She is quite adamant about it and it seems people are getting some very good results. She does recommend supplements also to aid in that. Maybe she is right to a point because if the body gets what it needs and is able to eliminate easier and rebuild and repair tissue, then perhaps it does dump more toxins and metals in the process, on top of healing at the sametime. HOwever, I don't know if it is always enough for the more poisoned. Usually they find they need to do more than that. But I think she has a point and I do think her diet is excellent. Here is an article on her website about this - http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/mn16.php
