I worked with resin based paints and plastics for a living till my early/mid-30's so it shouldn't be a problem, I am well exposed. I already know I have major difficulty with certain combinations of them and I already know i don't really like any of them on a long-term basis. It's the dentist that needs convincing so this test is more for him than for me.

Personally I am not sure about the tests either but I am open to new ideas. Maybe there ae new products out there i don't know about. Ceramic requires a plastic resin adhesive, so it qualifies as a plastic.

He did one of those electric meter tests on my amalgams and got a reading of 25 on one of my teeth... it was weird, my whole body did like this flip in the dental chair when he probed that tooth, obviously the leaky one.... but otherwise felt nothing, was just sort of a reflex action to the electric current I guess.

he said he got a higher reading once off of an alzheimer's patient.
