Im after some tips. I find that I cant keep to the diet formore then 3-4 days. I cant handle it I get more depressed and stressed that I cant eat anything. Apparently the doctor advised not to do it as avoiding sugar causes low blood sugar and that I will lose way too much weight.

Lately I have been buying loads of sweets and cakes and havnt really had any bad reactions so dont really know if its really needed lol.

I have concentration problems, get anxious quite easily and have been sufferring depression. I now also get dull aches in muscles and wrists feel weak.

Im not so bad at the moment. I still have amalgams in but want to remove them.

Im taking Rhodiola root 250 Mg Daily
Vitamin C Powder 5g Daily
EPA+ Evening Primrose oil Daily
Sublingual B-12 Methylcobalamin
Maxicol(FOS,Psyllium,Acidophilus lacobacilus.)
Trying this parasitic cleanse black walnut hull, cloves and wormwood.(Do you know how long it takes before I could expel them or if this really works?)

I hate taking so many supplements. I dont even know if im really needing them all.

But yeah how do you all manage to keep to a good diet. I dont really like vegetables and find the candida diet way too strict. I just dont even know where to start. Im thinking maybe I will just try to avoid wheat for 4 weeks to see if their is a difference.

BREAKFAST
Eggs
Tomato
Onions
Sausages(Dont know if these are ok) Its too much trying to find organic)

Lunch and dinner only leave me with vegetables and steak!! Its too tedious eating the same thing lol.

Yup. Been doing it for over a year now. You kind of get used to it, but when I go out with friends (rarely) I realise just how off the planet I am with this. It is hard and boring, and utterly depressing, yet it is an essential element of dealing with amalgam illness.

Sorry not to be more encouraging. It IS hard.

It is really important to give your body the good food it needs to keep your immune system from getting overloaded any more than it already is.

Stopping the wheat is a good first step. That is exactly what I did a little over a year ago. I felt much better from eliminating wheat and gluten products. I had still been eating sugar at the time and soon after that I had a major health crisis. Stopping the sugar has literally been one of the hardest things I've had to endure. It just goes to show us how truly addictive it is! I went through many hypoglycemic attacks when trying to stop the sugar. One attack landed me in the ER! But it has to be done. Once you can get over the first couple of weeks, your blood sugars start to level off. Just make sure you are eating every 2-3 hours. I eat lots of vegetables (I wasn't a big fan of them in the beginning, but now I look forward to my organic mesclun salad every day!). I also eat lots of nut butters (pecan and almond -- watch out for peanut and cashew, they are higher in mold) lots of homemade soups, some brown rice with vegetables and an occasional granny smith apple (sprinkled with cinnamon). The yeast problem will not go away without strict adherence to the diet if you still have mercury fillings. I've been on this diet for 7 months now, along with taking anti-fungals both naturally and by prescription and it still is there. I am in the process of having my fillings replaced and I can feel the difference already with my digestion.

The diet can be very depressing at first. But Nicola is right, you get used to it! And the payoff is when your health starts returning. I try to look at sugar now as a poison to my body. It helps me to feel good about not eating it. We have to look at regaining our health as a battle and remember we need to eat (right) to live and not live to eat!

Hope that helps some.

Joe, I totally agree with Nicola and Lee....but you can make it easier by not feeling deprived.... you have to focus on what you can eat, not what you can't...and that is a very important mindset to succeed on this diet.
[color:"red"] I am going to give you my 2 cents on this subject...going between your lines in red, if it works....

[color:"red"] Sorry but I think your doctor is way off base and knows very little or nothing about the candida/yeast/ connection.

I have concentration problems, get anxious quite easily and have been sufferring depression. I now also get dull aches in muscles and wrists feel weak.
[color:"red"] Those symptoms will greatly diminish and you will feel so much better when you stop feeding the yeast....sugar feeds candida and causes stored up mercury to methylate....and after you get your fillings out, you won't believe the difference. I am just sorry that I didn't know about this sooner, I may not have cancer.

[color:"red"] It probably won't work very well until you get rid of the intestinal yeast, all that sugar and gluten and dairy makes a real nice sticky place in the colon for bacteria, parasites and yeast to thrive. When the yeast and other pathogens start to die off, you will feel crappy for awhile, but after that your energy will come back, you will feel like a new man...but you have to kill those yeastie beasties by not feeding them!!!!

[color:"red"] You just have to stop all foods that feed yeast, the more yeast you grow, the more mercury is stored up and as the yeast crops die, that mercury is released into the tissues in the form of methyl mercury...100 times more toxic than the other forms.

Onions
Sausages(Dont know if these are ok) Its too much trying to find organic)

Lunch and dinner only leave me with vegetables and steak!! Its too tedious eating the same thing lol.
[color:"red"]You could have salads, baked yams or sweet potatoes and when you have killed most of the yeast, you can even have a few potatoes, I have a great recipe for oven fries....made with yams or spuds.

[color:"red"] I will help you any way I can, would you like some menus or some more recipes...I posted some awhile back and have lots more. You do have to cook though, that is a tough one for some people, for me it was not, as I love to cook. It was hard for me at first too, but now I eat a wonderful variety of foods and all my friends love it when I invite them for dinner. A lady told me in the beginning you have to focus on what you can eat, not what you can't...and that is a very important mindset to succeed on this diet.

Best love,
Sandi

Thank you all for your support and encouragment. I wouldnt have been able to do the diet if it wasnt for everyone on here.

I plan on starting it soon. I have to prepare myself by buying all the good stuff in advance so I dont cheat alot.

Thanks again.

Hi.

I too am finding a strict diet very difficult as I am trying to combine several ones. I've been trying now for almost 2 years and it does come easier, espeially as you learn to get more creative, but I do find it challenging, and still eat some bread and soya (which I tried to avoid completely a few months ago, but started eating the yogurts as they only had 6% of it in them).

I've read that onions are not always good for mercury toxic people, but I might be wrong. I have a little in soups I buy, but don't eat them otherwise.

Hang in there, I do believe diet is very important, and even if we can't manage to be completely strict, the more we can do, the better

avoiding sugar does not cause low blood sugar, if anything it can eventually cause it. Sugar damages the immune system directly and indirectly and messes up blood sugar and can cause or contribute many diseases we see today.

Sugar is addictive and harmful. IT does no good whatsoever. You get more than enough natural sugars provided by vegetables. Tomatoes are actually fruit which you can eat on the candida diet. Carrots are negliable but if you're concerned, you can eat them to get even more natural sugar. But the body gets most of its energy believe it or not from protein and nature made fats.

Sugar if anything will eventually drain a person long term, providing only temporary false highs.

Wheat is a good thing to avoid too. IF you are really struggling on this diet, which is not surprising, ease into it. Why not try avoiding the damaging white sugar and try having some fruit? Which is high in sugar, but it's natural and not harmful (unless you have yeast, which it will still feed, but not as much as junk sugar).

It's difficult at first to go on this diet becuase it alters the whole way you have been used to eating and at first you really feel deprived, but in actual fact you are not, you are iwthdrawing from the bad foods, which may leave you feeling "starved". This is a false hunger, more a craving than anything and is usually an indicator of yeast.

Sorry to say but many doctors can cause more harm than good with some of their advice. The only doctor who ever helped me, was the one who finally got me off sugar and wheat, and finally I was able to make progress. Depression and anxiety lifted. Takes a while to occur though, you have to give your body time to go through the intial worsening, before it builds and heals.

Don't give up though, sugar is seriously one of your worst enemies. It harms anybody, healthy or otherwise. Check this out. http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/sugar4.php
