Yesterday my mother told me that she had been diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia. This is a condition in which the sufferer has excruciating pain in the facial area. I read one description of it in which it is referred to as the "suicide disease".
I have read about it being linked to mercury poisoning. I have a lot of pain in my body that I believe is mercury related. Unfortunately my mother doesn't have the funds to pursue chelation therapy and at 70 she doesn't have much desire to do so even though she believes that there is something to the theory about mercury.
I fear that all her doctors will be able to do is to give her more and more drugs to suppress the pain. When it comes to treating chronic pain most physicians are worthless because of their poor training.
This makes me even more angry at The System and how little help we can get from it.

Aaron: I, too suffered from trigeminal neuralgia until I had my amalgams replaced. This article may be helpful for your mother.( If I didn't know better, I would have thought this article was about me!)
Trigeminal neuralgia linked to amalgam fillings JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA. Dr. William Cheshire, a physician at the Mayo Clinic, reports on a case where a woman's trigeminal neuralgia (tic douloureux) was traced to a galvanic reaction between an amalgam filling and an adjacent gold-alloy crown. Consumption of tomatoes and other acidic foods produced intense jolts described as being like those of an "electrical battery". The jolts in turn resulted in excruciating pain in the trigeminal nerve. Replacing the amalgam filling with a composite resolved the problem. Dr. Cheshire points out that dissimilar metals in contact with saliva can form a galvanic cell which can generate electrical currents with several hundred millivolts of potential. He points out that many patients with trigeminal neuralgia describe their pain in terms of "electrical" jolts and concludes that his patient's neuralgia may well have been triggered by the galvanic reaction between the amalgam filling and the gold crown.
Before I had the amalgams replaced, I learned to avoid any tomato products, and the pain stopped! Perhaps your mother could try the same thing?

Thanks for the information, Diana. My mother has had all her amalgam fillings replaced with composite ones. However, I bet that there is still a lot of mercury in her body.

After having a root canal around 15 yrs ago, Ihad pain and a slight tic in my trigeminal nerve for years. The pain is much less now than it was years ago . This is probably proof that the hg in the root canal has largely dissipated over time as opposed to being stably bonded in a manner such that it does'nt escape as claimed by dentists.

Dissipated where exacly? Now and then there's a fool such as I, but even I know a root canal is plain ol bad news whether or not your trigomoanal nerve acts up.

We are blessed to have the internet for information. I wonder how many people have suffered with no one to inform them of things like the mercury in thier mouths.
I sincerely hope and pray, in Jesus's name for effectiveness, that the internet is the downfall of the quackery and poisoning named dentistry as we know it.
Dentists are maimers and murderers from my own first hand personal experiences.

Each filling starts out with about 500,000 micrograms of mercury . Hundreds of studies show that the mercury vaporizes off the fillings continuously such that very little remains after fifteen years. Therefore one can conclude that the reason my symtoms are greatly reduced is that the nerve is no longer being poisoned by mercury.

gutta perch ain't a fish and not something folks want down their root canals, not to mention steroids.. oh, and the future joy of possible cavitations, support your local dentist!. I wished I'd a known that about the vapors being all gone after 15 years, though, could a saved a whole heap a dosh, wonder where that meter was pickin it up from, prolly my dog. No offense. Oh, and my root canals stopped hurting too after a good long while, just made up for it with the abcesses though. Brief honeymoon... Still, glad it works for you.
