Yeah I've had the same thing and never knew if it was good or bad. I think personally it's simply a sign of toxic overload. From perhaps candida and/or mercury toxicity.
In my worst moments I had nightsweats nightly. They abated when I went on the candida diet though. However, when I used an antifungal and killled too much candida, which I believed released heavy metals, I was acutely poisoned and got the nightsweats very badly, but luckily they abated again finally.
Not that I'm well, but the diet obviously helped a bit.
Your nightsweats maybe a healing crisis, because if it's something you used to get and you're being hit suddenly again, sometimes the body "retraces" old symptoms in order to heal. So, let us hope it maybe that. I have heard of this happening too. But usually that happens if someone has made changes to their lifestyle for the better, and may initially get worse and re-experience an old symptom until their body heals from it properly.
For me the nightsweats were more of a sign of toxic overload than anything else.
