I received this question via e-mail today... ---
Is there any thing to prevent grey hair or any natural dyes?
---
Grey is usually a sign of de-mineralization; Particularly a lack of copper. Try taking a copper supplement.
I used to have grey hair come in every week. I then started taking 4 mgs. of copper every day and it went away within days.
I also see a well-defined connection between anything that causes general de-mineralization and grey hair.
De-mineralization can be caused by a myriad of things including caffiene (coffee), processed sugar, stress, etc.
I do not know anything about sources of natural dyes. If anyone else does, please respond.
Thanks. I hope this helps.

you can use Henna. That is about the only natural coloring I know of. I too have multiple grays and I am only 33. I started graying at 26 years. I will try copper. Could this be the high mercury I have? I have often thought maybe that is what caused it. Since no one my age, has grays like this. And I seem to get more each week.

I too have started going really grey in the last four years ( coincidentally since I started having dental treatment) I have recently been taking copper tablets but they left me with a horrible metallic taste in my mouth and my whole body started to smell metally so I stopped taking them. Is it safe to take copper when we have so much metal in our body. I'm a bit confused but desperate for my grey hair to disappear. I'm only 37! Many thanks.

I started going grey at 26 but I am hypothyroid and they say it is due to this problem. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Where could I purchase copper supplements and is it safe to take if your are pregnant? I noticed that my grey hair increases each time I'm pregnant, could there be a connection?

You can purchase copper at most health food/supplements stores. So far as I know, it's fine to take copper while pregnant, although I would confirm that if I were you.
People with gold dental fillings may want to avoid copper because of the excess copper exposure they may receive from those types of fillings.

I noticed the other day that one of my grey hairs had started to turn brown. I haven't found another one since but I'm hoping that given time the others will follow suit!

I did for a while and then stopped. Maybe I should start taking it again.

If you decide to try, please let me know what happens. It's worked very well for me.

I herd that copper is bad? Or is extreme amounts bad? is 4mg like the perfect(magic number if you will) that you can take or is it being bad a myth?
