Does the metals detox itself not cause discomfort.

I think this may vary from person to person. From what I've been reading in this forum, it seems to me that how you feel from a "Metal detox" will vary based on two factors: the ingredients and your individual biology. If it contains cilantro, it may make you feel unwell, since cilantro allegedly stirs up the mercury that has accumulated in your system -- though perhaps it contains other herbs that neutralize this effect? Either way, I'm sure your results will vary tremendously based on what type of metal detox you're using alone.

I took something called First Cleanse by Renew Life and, to be honest, I didn't really feel anything from it (though maybe that's not a bad thing -- still, I had hoped to feel somehow ... "healthier" from it). The description suggested that it may cause more frequent bowel movements, for example, and I didn't notice anything to that effect. They also make a product called Heavy Metal Cleanse but, based on my experience (or lack thereof?) of the first product, I'm not too eager to give the heavy metal detox a try.

To date, the only herbal supplement aside from standard multi-vitamins (which do make me feel better) that I've ever taken and said, "Wow!" from is Algin. That's not to say it will miraculously solve your dilemma but it is a known chelator -- so it should help, if only partially. Anyway, I can't tout the benefits of Algin enough.
