Tracy,
I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but have you tried taking Algin? I've spoken with well over a dozen people that I can think of right off the top of my head and they found that it truly did help reduce their mercury-related symptoms: everything from anxiety to depression to fatigue, etc. Some of these people still had their fillings in, but most were post-removal.
You may not want to take any chelators if you're feeling this ill, because it's possible that your body is not eliminating the mercury you've already "stirred-up." You may be stuck in a vicious circle where your body is trying to eliminate the mercury, but you just keep reabsorbing it.
If you can't take Algin for some reason, perhaps trying some other type of fiber, maybe bran fiber or Slippery Elm or even Psyllium, might provide some benefit. I really can't say how well other types of fiber would work...you might have to take a lot to get similar results. But the idea is that the right type of fiber will help absorb toxins and heavy metals and prevent your body from re-absorbing them through the colon wall.
Algin has a special affinity for heavy metals...in fact, it's also used for environmental cleanup of heavy metal contamination. Unfortunately, I don't know of any clinical studies that have been done; however, based on personal experience and the testimonies of others, it certainly appears to be working.

AlginYou also should be careful to avoid cilantro. You'll often find it added to Mexican salsa, Thai food, some curry dishes, even some mixed salads. Cilantro will definitely mobilize mercury.
Some people also have trouble with sulfur-containing foods like eggs, garlic, onions, etc. Also, I believe it was Dr. Boyd Haley who found that milk can reduce the body's ability to excrete mercury.
You should also try to avoid aluminum exposure from deodorants, aluminum foil or cookware, etc., as well as fluoride exposure from toothpastes, municipal water supplies, and certain black teas...I've read that Earl Grey and other black teas can contain fluoride, although I haven't confirmed this.
I hope this helps.
