Just wanted to get your opinion on duration of symptoms after (improper) removal of fillings. It has been 2 months and 1 week for me now and this is the first week that I have been feeling better. I attribute that to Algin of course. I know it can be a roler coaster ride from anywhere 2-3 months to 12 months, but does this also depends on how many fillings I had? I understand that there probably is no rule with this, however in general, I am hoping for improvement after long and extremely difficult 2 months..I had two silver fillings drilled out. I am just hoping it gets somewhat easier and that the initial stage is over..

In what way were the fillings improperly removed? Do you have any "silver" fillings remaining in?
The process of feeling better involves and is affected by many things. Briefly, make sure you're following certain rules to this end:
No sugar, no caffiene, no NutraSweet (aspartame), eat close to nature (primary food is organic raw veggies), if you're an "O" blood type, incorporate extra protein, avoid sulfur foods (eggs, etc.).
Also, solving problems related to not feeling well is best handled by isolating (dividing) each symptom and working on it individually.
In what ways are you not feeling good?
For example, depression can be caused by thryoid issues so you may need iodine or another supplement to increase T3 production, or it may be caused by serotonin issues so you may want to supplement tryptophan or 5HTP which are serotonin precursors.
The good news here is this: If you're attributing "feeling better" to taking Algin, then there is a good chance the cause of your not feeling well is mercury-related and you're on the right path.
Look forward to hearing back from you. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

My two silver fillings were drilled out without any protective measures taken which, Laura explained, exposed me to mercury vapors.
Fortunately after discovering Algin, my symptoms decreased. Before that I was feeling really awful. My usual symptoms include: stomach growling/belching, head pressure, anxiety, fatigue, ringing ears, sensitivity to light, and occasional joint pain.
Since taking Algin as well as Calcium/Magnesium and Selenium with Vitamin E and C, all of my symptoms (which tend to come all at once, but not always) have reduced. A couple weeks ago I was experiencing the taste of metal in my mouth but that has gone away, thankfully. For the first time now my symptoms seem to be under control (they're there, just not as powerful) but I'm hoping they'll eventually go away completely. I'm sure this is a result of the inhaled vapors from having my dental fillings drilled out.

No doubt, you can be exposed to a lot of vapor during removal.
Sounds like your taking the right supplements. Detox takes time and normally, symptoms decrease with time so stay consistent and it will pay off.
Vitamin C is very important for joint health to hopefully that will improve for you over time.
It does get easier, at least for me it did. In fact, I feel better now?both emotionally and physically?than I have at any time in my life. The first several months had many "ups" and "downs" but not anymore.
Consistency in diet and detox are key. With a history of joint pain, make sure you stay away from caffiene and sugar if possible (it's hard sometimes).
A great detox method is to visit a sauna or steam room. Mercury loves to exit via the skin.
Hope this helps.

I got immediately sick after the dentist removed my amalgams without any extra precautions. I'm sure he thinks they're good enough to eat. However, I had about seven years of excellent health after that until february when I went off the anti-inflammatory foods diet (candida diet) and then started going through the stress of intense marital problems.

Any ideas on how to stabilize the sleep patterns? I wake up many times at night or am unable to sleep, I assume due to what is going on with my body. Is taking different supplements encouraging detox and perhaps insomnia with it?

I had excellent results going to sleep with Valerium veggie caps, although I have not used it in years, thus have not run the idea by my candida doctor.

Valerian works great for many people. Unfortunately, when I was very mercury toxic, it made me depressed after about 3 days.
You may benefit from multiple ways from tryptophan, especially if your mercury toxic because it is a Serotonin precursor.
Ever notice how people get sleepy after turkey dinner. It's the high levels of tryptophan found in turkey.
There is a lot of (past) debate over (even more) FDA gameplaying on the subject of tryptophan. They went through a lot of trouble to make it harder to get for human consumption. Just like with ephedra, numbers were skewed and lies did abound within the FDA.
Nevertheless, although it's harder to get, it's still available. I use it occasionally.

If I may just add to Russ's recommendation of L-Tryptophane......you must also take Vit. B-6 along with it.
L-Trytophane depletes the body of B-6.
I have insomnia and what has helped me the most is Phosphatidyl Serine, Progesterone cream (a dab on the thin skin (arm), every other day) and if I need extra help I use a product called "Calms" by Hylands.....I'll take a half of a pill and it really helps me to be able to go to sleep. Don't get the Calms Forte', it has lactose in it and I (at least) can't tolerate the milk sugar (lactose).

I looked for tryptophan or l-tryptophan at the store today. all they had were teh gelatin caps, and I think I'm allergic to gelatin. I did find something with valerian and kava kava. Kava kava will really make you tranquil. It really makes you high, though I haven't tried to get to the bottom of complaints about it. The caps I got also contain GABA and passion flower. Passion flower also is a sleep aid. I have it growing in my yard. I'll try making a tea from it.

I just got some tryptophan. I'll check and see if it is gel caps or not.
