A hospital department in the UK was shut down when mercury vapour levels exceeded an occupational exposure standard for mercury vapour of 0.025 mg/m3. (This is the suggested level that workers should be subjected to for health and safety reasons over an 8 hour period) I recently had mercury vapour levels tested in my mouth and they were 5 times higher than this and I breath it in 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. I continue to be shocked.

"Fillings contain about three-quarters of a gram of mercury..... a person with 8 fillings has the equivalent of 6 grams of mercury in his body, a concentration that would shut down a school chemistry lab or bring a toxic clean up crew to a lake".

Yes, it's part of the insanity of this world and the blatant contradictions that go on (and injustice). It just defies belief. It continually shows they know full well about the toxicity of mercury and the way dentists have to handle it and dispose of it (yet it's ok to mix in an amalgam and put inside the mouth, of ALL places).
The mouth is probably the worst place for mercury, even if it's in a solid form in an amalgam. You think of the saliva, the hot fluids we drink, the chewing, and the location of the mouth itself and it's bizzare. If you WANTED to poison someone, but not outright kill them, this would be the ideal way to do it. Slowly, painfully and in a way that would ensure one of the worst kinds of toxicity in the ideal location, but it would be so insidious that the person would not know what was going on.
Funny thing is, they knew about mercury's toxicity hundreds of years ago and removed it from dentistry......how is it, they re-introduced it?

Anonymous I had amalgams removed about three years ago. It appears though I still have mercury or even amalgam itself remaining in the teeth which is continuing to give high readings

That is terrible. No wonder that some people do not get well after removal. I hope you can remove this ASAP and get well. I am sure when you have zero mercury in your mouth you will feel better. Good luck.

oh, one more thing.. I read your post 'arghhhh' and you say that you don't tolerate chelators. No wonder that you feel so bad when you take them. If you still have mercury in your mouth you shouldn't use them at all.
