Well im definitely getting my fillings out but not sure how biocompatible testing is neccessary?

Is their one that can determine neurotoxicity? Whats the best option to replace amalgams with.

ALso my regime for detox is.

Nanized Chlorella
200 ug Selenium
2000 g Vit C

should I change dosages or add any supplements?

Im thinking Glutatione and algin if I can get it or dmsa and other antioxidants.

Also is dr Hesham el-essaway any good?

HI Paul, here is a link you should find very helpful for all these issues. Though the one thing I disagree on this link is their stance on candida, as I feel it is crucial to treat it during any toxicity, but I agree with them on probably avoiding antifungals. Though they should emphasize that diet is necessary.

I am hearing pretty good things about cerec porcelain as a restorative. it is not like the typical porcelains out there and does not have a metal base to it. In fact, on the biocompatibility testing over in the US, the clifford testing lab. So far, they have not seen ONE adverse result with the cerec porcelain and are even thinking of not testing it anymore because of this.

One girl on here was very ill with mercury and so sensitive and toxic, she even had problems with water! She has got cerec and she said it's been fine, no obvious reaction, just her usual mercury symptoms (which she still has to detox from).

I am probably going to get cerec also. No material is perfect, there is no such thing. ALL restoratives contain metals to some degree, that is unavoidable. The key is to find a restorative that has the least amount of chemicals, and one that won't readily leach out it's componants. Plastics and amalgams tend to leach their componants out more, though depending on how much a person tolerates what is contained.

I hope the link maybe helpful to you. If that detox regime helps you, that's great. You could add vitamin E to that (soy free). The way to get glutathione levels up is not taking it straight as a supplement, but taking things that build it in your own body, like selenium, vitamin C, milk thistle, undenatured whey protein.

Careful though, as mercury is a great one to get mobilised by many things and chlorella can do this. If you can handle that? ok, but if it's too much, you may have to lessen or take a break from it. your body can only handle so much movement of mercury and if your gut and liver are in anyway impaired (from candida and/or other toxicity), you could get yourself into big problems by circulating mercury and not being able to eliminate it properly. So definitely be careful.

DMSA is good also, depends on how you wish to take it and what works for you. Andy Cutler's protocol is excellent and works for many, though some may not find it reacts well with them and may choose another way of using it.

I think compatibility testing is crucial...most mercury toxic people are super sensitive to many materials so it is best to find the ones most suitable.

I took grapessed extract and pycnogenol antioxidant and started getting worse. I felt more dull muscle aches and tremors and felt mentally unstable and I never knew why an dI believe it may have moved all my toxins and my mercury?

What do you mean by mobilzing? Im worried I may be causign more damage taking too much stuff and overdoing it with supplements.

Mobilising mercury with stuff that seeks to stir it up can be risky, because the mercury can more easily bounce around the body and possibly causing more problems/damage along the way. Some people can seem to get away with doing almost anything, others cannot.

You maybe wise to join this forum here
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/frequent-dose-chelation/

As this group is specifically for mercury chelation/detox and seeks to do it in a way that limits the mobilising of mercury and makes it much safer (for most anyway). This suits a lot of people, but there are some who don't take to it and find their own way.

Anytime mercury is moved, there is a risk, but if it's moved more uncontrollably, the risk increases. however, leaving it alone is not good either because it sits and continues to do it's thing. So certainly, to me the best things to do for mercury is a good candida diet with the appropriate healthy fats (butter, lard, olive oil, coconut oil, pure fish oil/codliver oil, plus a tried and tested safe protocol and supplementary support.

The link I provided you uses a mercury detox protocol that is by a biochemist Andy cutler. He's helped a great many people, adults and children alike and has cured himself of mercury poisoning also.

Supplements to help are pretty basic like vitamin C, vitamin E, B complex, milk thistle, magnesium, zinc, etc. And the fats. (vitamin C, b complex, milk thistle and magnesium need to be taken about 3-4 times a day to be properly effective).

Hi,

Dr. Hesham El-Essawy is an excellent dentist. If not the best, then one of the best. (But I'd go with the former). I've been recommending him to people for a few years now. He does thorough testing, before, during and after removal and takes a lot of care with all his patients as he knows what they are going through, having been at death's door himself due to mercury poisoning.

You have to follow everything in his protocol for it to work otherwise you could find yourself still suffering. He offers a money-back guarantee and his prices are nowhere near as high as most other dentists. Those who you may find are cheaper do not do the relevant tests needed, or have other means of testing you which are not as accurate as those Hesham uses.

It is absolutely VITAL to have biocompatibility testing before removal to ascertain whether or not there is a material which you may have a problem with. It would be a waste of time and money, not to mention a risk to your health, if you find that after having your amalgams replaced you are allergic to the new material. Hesham includes this test with the others.

I had compatibility testing and recommend it. It's not necessary as many people don't have it done and have recovered well. Just the same, it's best to rather than having material put in your mouth that you may react to. For myself, it was the standard test done by a competant dentist and I have never regretted it.

There are other protocols besides the the one just mentioned that work equally well. Some use Andrew Cutler's protocol. For myself, that has been the ticket. I think his doctorate in chemistry (from Princeton), as well as his bachelors degree in Physics speaks for itself.

His protocol is down to earth, as he understands that what one of us may react to another may not. He is far from dogmatic. I've personally read where he open-mindedly told someone on the forum that if something worked for her (in this case something he doesn't usually recommend) then she should use it. For someone with his education to say that... spoke volumes to me.
