I grew up and still live in Texas....and the only way to truely opt out is to remove your child from the public school system. You may even have to remove your child from some private schools, if they follow every dictate that the public schools require for accredidation.

In the 60's they had a forced vaccination of all children, they lined us up and gave us all the vaccinations. I told them that I had already had my shots, and they said that doesn't matter, they are required to give everyone these vaccinations....so some of us got double the dose.

My mother took us to the doctor on a regular basis and we recieved vaccinations there, my mother gave the public school the shot records and I still recieved it again and so did others.

I doubt if the school nurse will even look at the child's records before giving them an HPV shot. If a parent really wants to make sure their child isn't used as a guinea pig, they may have to remove them from the public school completely. It's very sad but very true.
