Well for over 6-7 years I have always had trouble concentrating. I find I cant keep my focus or stare at anything. I always thought it as because maybe I think too much or have a depression. I ended up feeling really dizzy one night and thought I was going to faint and started developing panic attacks and worry about whats wrong with me. I have taken loads of herbs and anti-depressants and some make me more anxious and other can slightly help but I always have problems with concentrating and now I notice I get uncomfortable heart palpitations wherre im always concious of my heart and slightly get tremory in all my muscles.
I beleive i may have amalgam posiing but my symptoms dont always get worse. They always consistent but nto always severe where I always thought the amalgam illness always gets worse and worse? I also did checks and have a sesitivity to wheat and sugar and worrying about imbalances in my neurotransmitters as I always feel uncomfortable. And scafred im wasting money getting my fillings removed as my family thinks im a hypochondriac with an anxiety disorder or dpression.
Thansk everyone for listening.

I also have over 18 silver fillings (maybe more). so thats why im looking into it.
I get moody too and sometimes herbal anti-depressants can help me cope but i still get jjittery all the time and have tension in stomach and my hands always tremor slightly.
Does this suggest amalgam poisining? Im not getting worse as I am feeling better now then what I used to feel but I am taking loads of Vitamin C and Psyllium husks + Probbiotics and rhodiola rosea. I am still sufferring but able to cope and work slightly.

Hi, if you consider everything else, what else could it be? To end up with symptoms everyday, is not normal, unless your system is being exposed to something 24/7.
Mercury toxicity is far more common than people realise, but most seem to have more of a handle on it and don't tend to display too severe symptoms, but may not be or feel as well as they could.
others can be totally debiliated and others may have it enough to where it's interferring and upsetting, but not enough that is wiping them out.
I'm not saying yours is definitely mercury, but I would take a good bet and say that your 18 amalgams containing mercury, that will be giving off mercury vapor everyday, all the time, is most likely a contributing factor at the very least (if not the whole problem!).
Symptoms of mercury are usually depression, anxiety, odd thoughts, panic attacks, fatigue, tremor, salivation, rashes, insomnia/oversleeping, nightmares, stupor/drug like feeling, anger, obsessive behaviours (OCD), ritualistic type behaviours, anti social, fearful of others, withdrawn, wanting to be alone, changes of personality, mood swings, dizziness, burning sensations in the mouth/throat or parts of the body, tearfulness, excessive crying, pale face, racing heart, dilated pupils, sometimes even grey tattooing type discolouration in the genitals (where it should be pink), swollen tongue, indentations on the tongue, a feeling of mouth constriction (being drawn in the face), metal taste in the mouth, metal smell when sweating, pressure in the head, headaches, swollen eyes, dark circles, erratic visual changes, blurred vision, trouble with vision adjustment/focussing, sore eyes, nausea, abdominal cramps, wheat/gluten intolerance, loss of concentration, blank mind, joint pains/stiffness, muscle weakness, overweight/underweight and the inability to change it much, etc etc.
The symptoms of mercury are vast and bizzare. They do not necessary have to worsen, they can remain the same and simply afflict your life daily, whether they differ or not, whether they worsen or not.
Along with mercury, comes many other things. Candida is usually a big one. Once you are poisoned and your immune system is under attack, candida is another illness all on it's own and sadly can worsen the toxicity of mercury and also create more symptoms, many of which mimic those of mercury, so you can be dealing with both at the sametime and not know which one is doing what!
It is usually suggested that anybody undergoing toxicity from mercury or anything else, gets on a strict candida diet, including healthy proteins and healthy fats to help their body deal easier with the mercury (or whatever other illness) lessen the candida and improve the body's ablity to eliminate toxins and help heal.
On top of that, taking healthy supplements too. All those things can help the immune system whilst you start looking into mercury removal. But when you do that? you MUST make sure you get to a reputable biologic dentist who is going to give you the upmost protection during the mercury removal and replace your toxic amalgams with safe materials!
I would imagine your condition maybe mercury, but complicated by yeast at the sametime. This is a guess, but certainly, going on a proper diet will do you no harm! The rest, the amalgam removal? That will be up to you to decide ultimately, but it's advisable to start heading in that direction!!!
Read up on all you can on mercury, look at the symptoms carefully and you should start to see many similar patterns in yourself! Mercury is a funny thing, it can do anything to a person's mind and personality, but often in such a way, they have no idea why they can't feel "ok" and attempt to take medication in order to control those symptoms. Often, as you have discovered, finding out they don't help, or if anything, end up with side effects.

I agree entirely with Bex here. The many symptoms we normally associate with mercury poisoning are those of Candida and it is vital that you seek the help of an anti-Candida diet to control these symptoms, especially if you are contemplating amalgam removal. Your body must be as free as possible from Candida before removal of amalgams. Candida testing as well as a test for mercury (a mercury vapour test being the most accurate test) are vital. It is a hard diet to follow, and I have had problems with it myself, I won't deny that, but you will notice a huge difference once the Candida has gone. I have read on this forum that someone has been eating peanut butter as part of their anti-candida diet, but this must be avoided. However, cashew nut butter is just as nice and can easily be found in most health food stores. If you are going to follow an anti-Candida diet you MUST stick to it and not cheat. Eliminating the Candida will then be a much quicker process. Lyn (London) www.LynRennicksAMPSsociety.co.ukLyn@LynRennicksAMPSsociety.co.uk

Thank you all for your responses. I believe it may be a big part or most of the problem. I had always been so frustrated thinking im dwelling on my symptoms and make things worse then they seem or why would I do this to myself and did as much research as I could. I was upset yesterday thinking why do I like making my family worry about me or why do all these problems bother me and am I wasting my money taking suplplements etc. I try to not let them other me. I have been messing with so many anti-depressants thinking its a neurotransmitters problem and then in the end I told I was possibly doing it to myself. But after reading your posts i feel so much happier in understanding that this can contribute to do the problem. I have tryed the candida diet and to be honest I always cheat ![$ubbt_lang['ICON_TONGUE'] $ubbt_lang['ICON_TONGUE']](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/default/tongue.gif) . But once I get my amalgams removed I will do it properly as I really want to change myself. I just want to thank everyone for creating a website and how great it is that we are all doing as much as we can do make sure we get better and can enjoy our lifes to the fullest. Im going to find a great dentist here in Birmingham or might travel to london and get them removed when I get a chance. Wish everyone the best of luck with their success. Joe

Hi Joe, to live with this toxicity, even if it's only contributing can be something quite indescribeable, and you can try and stop thinking a certain way or doing certain things and trying not to have anxiety or odd fears and you will be fighting a toxin, not your true self. And the frustration of taking this or that to attempt to help your brain work better can be near impossible with that going on. The anti depressants are a typical prescription for a mercury toxic person, most of us have been down that road! And to no avail. Some maybe lucky and find an antidepressant that helps, but most of us find them causing side effects more than anything. That is why the candida diet can help in that area, though it's not a cure. your cheating on the diet doesn't surprise me at all, sugar etc is probably as addictive as hard drugs. You need will power and patience to gain improvement from some of those symptoms, as mercury and candida do go hand in hand. However, again, you may simply wish to concentrate on getting your amalgams removed, but if you find symptoms are intolerable? you'd do yourself the wise thing at this time in the meantime, by going on that diet and being strong. Truly, it can be a lifesaver and also will help your body eliminate some of those metals easier also. But that's up to you. Going on the diet half pie, or temporarily is pointless. When you start, you must keep going and remain strict without cheating in order to begin gaining results. and the results can improve a person mentally also and lift depression and ease anxiety, sometimes pretty miraculously. You may find this link here of interest regarding amalgams/toxicity etc http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache...p;amp;gl=nz&ct=clnk&cd=5I can send you that in the PDF proper file version if you would like, but you'd need to give me your email address, but that link should be ok, it's a rougher version of it and you can save it if you want. Though that file/link mentions candida and thinks mercury removal is a better option, and to not bother treating candida int he meantime. I do not entirely agree with that. I do understand what they mean about not "killing" candida with antifungals, because that can be risky if the candida happens to contain a lot of mercury (if it's killed aggressively in large number by antifungals, it can pop open and release the contents, some of which might be mercury....) But reducing candida by starving it to death naturally by the diet is pretty crucial for symptom relief and healing and that should always be emphasized. Antifungals are a last resort if a person's candida infection is not responding to diet, depending on how bad it is. Also the candida diet is not just for yeast, it is a healthy way of eating regardless and that's the entire point, to build health by good foods, eliminate toxins by ridding the bad/junk foods completely, and the good side effect of the body reducing yeast levels in the process. Supplements etc are not of much use when you are not absorbing nutrients properly from any toxicity, candida or otherwise. When you have reduce candida levels in your gut etc, then you'll find you aborb nutrients better from your food and supplements and start to see results. anyway, I've said more than enough on the candida front, but at least you know the option is there should you wish to do it. I'm glad you like this forum, it's a help to me too and people here are all struggling in many different ways and are a great help and support to eachother! I hope that this journey will bring you the health you deserve.

Great site Bex, and more about the root canal/cancer connection on page 8and 9....I wish I had had them out sooner....and done properly....i might not be dealing with these advanced cancers now. ____________________
And Joe, just remember that those yeastie beasties are starving all the time and when they are dying off, they secrete poisons that make us crave sugar, starches, etc. So really that is why they are called comfort foods, cause they satisfy the yeast. So remember when you get those cravings, it is not really a hardship at all to deny them, you are killing the yeastie beasties and doing your body and health a REALLY GOOD DEED.
The yeast plugs up our elimination systems so we cannot efficiently excrete the mercury and it also methylates mercury into it's most toxic form....of methyl mercury.
Hope you feel better soon.

Joe, if you can get yourself tested for mercury toxicity as soon as possible please do. I was one of those disbelievers, however, after going to 7 doctors, being put on thyroid meds and biodentical hormones i was still exhausted and yes, the symptoms went up and down on a yo-yo depending upon my diet, the stress level in my life and all the other things folks listed above. Getting tested is well worth it. Life is not worth living depressed, living with short-term memory loss and a known toxin in your body that continues to work against your immune system and your overall well being. Please don't do what many of us have done on this forum and wait until it gets worse. It will get worse and then you will have even more things to deal with. This forum has great veterans of this topic on it and can answer many questions and send you to websites to help you understand this.
Blessings, Gabriella

Where would I be able to get a reliable testing?
My mum keeps telling me dont waste your money its all in your head with me worrying too much because she has some fillings and is fine and its only if your allergic. They dont understand how my concentration levels have shot and how depressed and anxious I have been and not knowing why it happenned or what made me worry so much about things in the first place.
Im in Birmingham UK and looking for a reliable place to get a good test done for mercury poisoning. Doctors dont believe in Candida either which is weird and makes me understand the pain mercury and candida sufferers go through. I just dont understand why they ignore it?
Im going to buy Algin tomorrow and selenium + Vitamin E and C and see if they help improve some of my symptoms. Rhodiola and EPA fish oil and Evening Primrose seem to help some of my symptoms of inhibility to relax but I always have my concentration problems so I believe its definitly linked with mercury or food intolerances.
