I went to a dentist in NYC who is IAOMT certified and apparently has many years experience of amalgam removal. Despite my reservations about getting my teeth cleaned, I gave in based on him telling me that he would take care to ensure it would not stir the Mercury up. Sure enough it did and my symptoms are out of control now. I can sense the excess of Mercury based on the excess of salivation I am having with a strong metalic taste in my mouth and BAD brain fog etc. Is there something I can have with the Amalgams still in my mouth to alleviate my situation? Would Chlorella, Active Charcoal etc help? It has been a few days already since the problem started.
After this episode have decided to change my dentist for the removal of my amalgams. Has anyone used a dentist they could recommend in NYC or nearby?
Thanks very much RG

Hi there, You could try activated charcoal powder. I have heard this can soak up some of the mercury. Or, Russ the owner here recommends algin. Basically the only act as a mop, so they don't directly chelate and should be safe for you to use either.
Yes, mercury is easily stirred up. Perhaps the dentist did his best, and may give him the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes even the biologic dentists are not always aware of how certain patients are not only toxic, but hypersensitive also which can go way beyond the norm.
And professional cleaning teeth is necessary, as I left it for years and ended up with periodontal gum disease for failure to remove the hardened build up that can occur under the gum (and often unnoticed).
Also, your exposure to mercury vapor, could have been both from cleaning and from being in the dental office itself. Because mercury is either being used or removed in a dental office, the office itself is contaminated. For those who are hypersensitive or ill already, they can feel the impact far more than others.
I'm sorry this occured and just hope that perhaps you can mop this extra exposure up (use a lot of vitamin C also, vitamin E, zinc, magnesium, B complex) and you may wish to consider one of the most important aspects (I believe) to any healing, and any support. Which is the gut/liver.
Consider the candida diet, as the gut is one of the first thing you need to get right for any aid to detox and help of symptoms.
Amalgam removal would be a wise move, by a good reputable dentist.
Best wishes and hope someone suggests a good NY dentist for you.

I read your post and if I were you, I'd use Algin to help control these health issues related to mercury. I would also be sure to take 3000 to 5000 mg of Citrus Bioflavonoids (Vitamin C) and 400 iu of Vitamin E with Selenium daily for protection. I call these three supplements "The Big Three".
