I am curious because i am JAMAICAN my self.
That being said,that statement was real ignorant and plain prejudice.
As for partners infecting otheres,some things are in fact true,you can poison each other from sharing the same bed,it is said the vapors from one can enter the other from sharing the same sleeping quarters over a period of time,how true it is,noone can really pin it down.
Another thing is other things can be passed on,for instance mercury intoxicated individualsare succeptible to various prasites and other things which can be transmitted through sexual relations.
The original story was from a woman living in florida,which is why i asked the OP if it was in fact her who experienced this.
