I recovered dramatically from amalgam removal, as did my business partner, Laura. We both had all our fillings replaced in a single day (although I don't recommend this for everyone) and have never had them changed.

I would not doubt that mercury works its way into all types of tissue, including enamel, gums, bone, etc., for all are porous at some level.
