Oh dear,I feel like this forum is starting to have a witch hunt feel to it and it really seems to be counter- productive to sharing information that is so vital to anyones chance for recovery.I have absolutely no intention of offending anyone, especially not Tracy who seems to have had such a really dreadful time of it but on the other hand I think things said about a dentist here can have a huge impact on their practice , not to mention our need to know who is a trustworthy dentist. As I said on my previous post, I found Hesham a completely sincere person in all my dealings with him, even when he didnt want to do things MY way, he was willing to negogiate and really listened, gave me his home phone number and kept in personal contact even when he was ill.The thing that bothers me here is the issue of the permenant or temporary fillings and this should be relatively easy to clear up. All I know is that Hesham NEVER places permenent fillings in teeth that he removes amalgam from until after he feels that you have detoxed, so, if Tracy had amalgam out from him, then the fillings she would be given would be temporaries until she would have completed her detox, only then would the permanent fillings be put in. So, were these fillings the first ones or the second ones that Hesham did? This should be a relatively easy matter to clear up and it would be good for us out here to know so that we can all make the best informed choiceswithout putting ourselves or someonescareer at risk.I have no vested interest here,I am only concerned with the best information being made available to all and it would be a shame if people made an erroneous decision about a good dentist if that dentist were only following their own protocol.

Hi, I appreciate what you're saying. With respect to Tracy, I admit I found this dentist worded things in a very respectful and professional manner. I'm not discounting tracy's experience or what she stated at all, so just want to get that straight.
I am just once again, trying to say that he conducted himself as one would expect from a professional in his wording ....I felt rather unpopular for saying that, but that's how I read it..
I know it might seem like a witch hunt, but for a long time there have been patients who have been blocked and banned from ever expressing their dental negatives or outcomes and if they ever tried, they were usually banned from a forum for doing so and kicked out. Leaving them not only usually unable to have any come-back, but unable to caution others also.
so it's a difficult area, as it is risky and has legal implications too and in some cases may end up unfair to the professional and to his career. I do feel this forum is excellent and very open in allowing people to pass on help to others in such a way, I've not experienced on other forums.
This recent turn of events, maybe a little "tense' to say the least and it's not intentional that they turn into anything bad, it is up to the parties in question to sort things out offline if they can. I think it's pretty commendable though that a dentist gets on here and speaks out too in his own defense.
It's a bit like a boil coming to the surface sometimes. What I do find bad is if the statements being made are not fair or not entirely accurate. That is when it's got to be stopped.
Other than that, if a dentist is exploiting patients or harming some of them and going along merrily, then he/she deserves to be exposed for it. It's a bit of patient protection and I'm sure you would not be against that and I dont' think the good dentists would be either. Though it's hard on them too, as they are human and mistakes are made, no matter how good a dentist is, so this should be taken into account in all matters too!
I do think this will settle down personally, but for now it's heated.
Thanks for giving your side though. We need to hear what people experienced.

Dear all, I just have to add my experience. In short, HESHAM EL-ESSAWY SAVED MY LIFE when all others could not help me. The way I was before I did not want to go on. I followed all procedures and have seen great improvement back to my old self. I play football twice a week and since the treatment have run a half marathon and numerous 10km races, none of which i would have been able to do beforehand. I have temporary fillings. This was included on my quote from the dentist and these will be made permanent shortly, once we are completly sure that the mercury has gone. I have no reason to praise Hesham other than he is my dentist. I am a lawyer working in London who did not know him beforehand. You can reach me at raygee77@hotmail.com and I would be happy to respond. I am also only interested in the best, correct information being available to all and thought it important to add my story. As a lawyer I understand patient confidentiality and legal privilege. I also understand what defamation is. What I would say is that, we are all here to help each other - not argue. If somebody makes a bold statement then we all have the right to defend ourselves. Perhaps we could accept that rather than turn the whole thing into a witch hunt. The greatest shame of all is that for people like myself, if there is misinformation then they may lose the opportunity at receiving the best treatment available. I sought treatment from 3 prominent 'mercury free' dentists before meeting Hesham so I know what I'm talking about. I was also given his personal number and find him extremely approachable. I hope you can all take my comments in good spirit. Best wishes to all. Ray

How did Dr. essawy help you?

Excuse me for my lack of vocabulary as i'm suffering severe mental symptoms, but i'm finding the Tracy vs El-Essawy topic interesting. I'm actually learning more about what El-Essawy does for a patient here, than anywhere else. I considered going to see him 6 months ago when he told me that depression always responds to his work within 2 weeks. I then backed out of seeing him when he wrote in an email for me to cheer up, which for any of you who have suffered crippling depression, anxiety etc, is an impossible task to do. I would plead for anyone who reads this who has been cured by El-Essawy from depression and mental symptoms, to PM me, or email me at whitey_ni@hotmail.comI am due to be treated by a new physician, but want to know if these stupendous success stories are actually true. I did ask El-Essawy once could he put me in contact with any former patients who he has cured from depression, but he declined. His work is not cheap, and if he's not able to cure, how does one know for sure that the money back guarantee is definitely true.

Cheers clare.
I will be treated soon by a doctor who i feel i can defintely trust, and will keep this forum posted on how it goes. Don't know what to think of El-Essawy, and being mentally impaired doesn't help. I've been taken for a ride by quite a few doctors and dentists. If he had of accepted my request to speak to at least one former patient who suffered depression and got cured, then that would add a bit more weight to his guarantees. I don't see what the big problem is, he's very open on this forum about things, so why not open up even more and give me the contact details of someone who was healed by him for depression. I'm sure if there are those people around, then they'd only be too glad to recommed a therapist who can heal it.

Thankyou Clare for that post, this certainly was never intended to set out as 'witch hunt' or a Tracy versus El - essaway thing. Just intended to put some points across. It all seems to have got out of hand and I 'm sorry I used the forum to make my point cos it all seems to have got out of hand, but I know you have valid points too Clare and I thank you for being brave enough to put your case forward.

"Hang in there" is a different thing to say than "cheer up" to someone who is suicidally depressed, especially when the person who says it already knows the circumstances.

I had my amalgam fillings removed from other dentists and did not improve - even though I had no metal in my mouth by that stage.
I went to hesham as a last resort believing that the mercury vapour hiding in dentinal tubules was a valid issue and one that was logical. I am now 100% which makes me believe that this statement is true.
If anybody would like to contact me with specific questions then either send me a PM over this website or use raygee77@hotmail.com.
Incidentally I was also depressed pre removal and this has completely resloved.
Best wishes
Ray
