Hi ppl New development here the other day; a total black-out.
Stupidly, the night before id risked some dark chocolate which is very clearly a migraine -> seizure state trigger for me. [High copper food?] Im starting to experience clear differences in reactions to certain things. Sulphur, Selenium and Copper [supplements / foods] are the main culprits, and have their own specific 'sensations'.
Anyway, the morning in question i was groggy as usual, but with a noticeable migraine type headache... just about to have breakfast when a very intense 'petit mal' seizure came on [feels like deja vu] but was so overpowering i remember thinking, i must lie on the floor. Well thats the last thing i remember. My cup of tea was lukewarm when i awoke on the carpet near my comp. So i estimate i was out for 20 mins or so. Maybe longer? Confusion at first, then fear... then quite a shock when i looked in the mirror - blood across my eyes! left eye bruised, right eye cut. This is the mystery; i was lying on my right side, yet the dried blood was right to left. What on earth happened? what did i hit - twice! i can only guess that the comp desk was responsible somehow... but thats a really scary thought to have been unconscious that long. Not to mention the fact i had a fan heater on in close proximity to my hair. Now that was close. So i guess i have to anticipate the worst each time from now on. I did see my doctor later that day [the extra-skeptical one lol] and she actually commented that the left eye injury looked 'older' than the right eye one?! Like im lying?! Dont know why i bothered but.. at least it will be on record. Her "advice" was; dont have baths, and stay with friends/family. Kinda wasted there...
So yeah its back on the DMSA tomorrow, round 9, but still on 12.5mg dose.

Wow, please keep us posted. That must be extremely frightening. It seems it would be good to have company. Is that possible.

That is shocking!!!! Is it at all possible you may have suffered an allergy migraine? Or perhaps your blood pressure sky rocketed from what you ate? I know this, I've eaten dark chocolate also and i't's given me a case of heart racing pretty badly. I dn't know if that's the culprit in your case, but something is badly wrong.
I'm unsure why you'd not go to get a second opinion from another doctor who is actually going to take this seriously.....this is not something i'd mess around with.
Have you had all your amalgams thoroughly removed?
What you experienced is frightening. I am trying for the life of me to figure out what may have happened to you.
To my mind, you need to go see another health practioner and demand answers, scans, anything. I'm stunned your doctor did not give you a total check over and send you for thorough testing. How incompetent....yet sadly.....how typical. I have to wonder what they've actually been trained to do these days. My own doctor is a classic example of doing literally "nothing".
I hope this does not happen to you again!!!! Stay away from the chocolate!!!!!! And in this case, you may want to watch out for caffeine also, in fact sugar too.

Thanks for replying!
Its a dilemma alright. I wish i had asked someone else at the time but the surgery was closing and i just had to go home.
With the exception of my Art Therapist [who is a professional and genuinely compassionate individual, and indeed a rarity and credit to this joke of a health service...!] I dont have any medical support with these issues.
I have actually seen about 15 NHS doctors, and one extremely expensive private guy, who didnt know all that much either, but could 'investigate' for a price someone on benefits wouldnt be able to afford. LOL.
Anyway, apparently there *is* a follow up CT scan [+ overnight 'observation' in a ward somewhere..?] to the Neurology appointment a few weeks ago, but of course when this will be is anyones guess. [This guy is a psychic because he said "we will arrange for this scan, but the result will be Normal." ! ]
The question of whether all amalgam has been thoroughly removed is something indeed. I have noticed some grey stain lines on surfaces, and there is a grey-ish patch on the inner gumline where 2 pre-molars were filled with one bridging amalgam. And of course, this was touching the tissue at either side. So the plan is to *attempt* to find another holistic dentist / doc to check this out properly. They are few and far between up here however.
Anyway, im back on 12.5mg DMSA and its taken the edge off this 'spaciness' / confusion crap slightly. And yep i need to step away from the chocolate aisle... lol
Take care V

All doctors i have seen have never helped me, ever. If i walk in my doctors surgery now he gives me one of those looks, like he cant be bothered, i only go there if my kids need a doc. What you are going through is really serious though, could be life threatening, if you hit your head hard or start a fire. Doctors just arnt diagnosing us like they should, they are a waste of tax payers money,(NHS) anyway. I had a CT brain scan, the doc said it would turn out normal and all i need is prozac. It was normal, thank God! I hope you can stay safe, best wishes, Dawn.

Dear Virago my son started having seizures last year, he is now 18. He has other problems and Im wondering if he too could be toxic. Anyway after many scans ect they did find some scar tissue on his temporal lobe but he never has had any head injury of any kind. They tried anti-epileptic drugs, but stopped them because nothing controls the seizures. Two things that seem to kick them off are being overtired as he hardly sleeps and drinking wine, which he had before the first one. Funnily he also went bright yellow. They have now told him theres nothing they can do and he has to live with it. Tracy
