Can I ask you please what diet your GP has you on? When you are exposed to toxins, or chelating from toxins and are weakened physically, you will be in such a vulnerable state that it is almost certain you will be suffering also from yeast infection, plus other toxic overload.
You have got to treat these things alongside the mercury, or you can be in serious trouble. when your immunity is down (whether from mercury or something else), you will be fair game for other things to take over and hold you in a dire state.
I'd suggest to you that you may want to follow the dietry recommendations that many have to follow in order to get through the day. This is serious enough to where some of us have no choice but to do it. NO sugar, NO yeast, NO wheat or other gluten grain (prerably no grain at all due to high carbohydrates which turn into sugar inside the body). NO potatoes (high in starch/natural sugar), NO milk, NO fruit.
It is strict, but the only way your body may begin to finally get on top of any prevailing yeast infection and other toxic issues. The main things to eat are basically meat, eggs and vegetables, plus all the healthy animal fats like butter, lard, and other healthy ones like extra virgin olive oil, organic coconut oil. Drinking water and/or herb tea. You "may" get away with some plain sugar free acidophilus yoghurt (though be cautious), plus some raw nuts like brazil and almonds (again be cautious).
Yep it's painfully strict, but this is the only way the body can reduce yeast and toxins and disgard what it doesn't want or need and begin to rebuild tissue. Your fissures are no doubt part of this problem. Anything that occurs in the body that goes wrong is only a symptom of something else.
You may find if you go on this diet, that after a time, things may start to improve. It is seriously worth a try, even if you put yourself on it for about three weeks to see what happens. I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up giong through a major die off / detox from it.
That is if you are not already doing it. Take into consideration that depression is again just another symptom of a sick body. Nothing wrong with your mind, the brain suffers from toxins as any other organ and in actual fact, depression can also be caused by a toxic gut and liver! Many bizzare mental issues are far from a person having "problems", but they are simply more often than not "very physically ill".
Antidepressants are like a bandaid on a wound. They will not cure the problem, and in actual fact, can cause problems because of the side effects. You are wise to be wary of using them, but again, if they are necessary? sometimes a person may have to temporarily.
HOwever, the issue is toxicity and if you can reduce this with diet (possibly even having to use an antifungal), you may find these things begin to lessen/subside. your body is actually crying out for help and the diet is the first and best place to start.
It is the foundation of everything else. All else is secondary. I'd start with diet, scrap everything that is a remote hinderance and supply all the healthy proteins and fats and let the body do the rest. Chelation is great, but the body needs the diet desperately.
Cheating on the diet isn't an option, if a person cheats, they will often spiral right back down into a pit of despair. Keeping the diet strict constantly is the way to go. Not giving up and holding firm! Not easy at first, but can be achieved with some will power and persistance.

hi.. thanks for the reply. I have been on a gluten, dairy, yeast, egg, sugar, fructose free diet for almost a year. I think a lot of my depressive feelings have come from not beign able to work and having my relationships suffer and freinds disappear and feeling like all of this is never going to end.......

Hi, I can understand that. Eggs are actually very healthy and can aid those mercury poisoned sometimes. Are you allergic to them?
can I ask, what kind of DMSA protocol are you on? Just out of curiosity.
And yeah, the depression and other stuff, is caused directly by these toxins and also what it has done to our lives. It is like direct toxic depression, plus indirect depression from the life being robbed!
I've lost out also. All the things I had hoped are gone. Sometimes it's hard to know how to even keep going.

Eggs are a sulphur food and can be problematic if it mobilises too much mercury. I think sulphur foods can have this affect on me if i eat too much

True, they can have the ability to mobilise some mercury if a person is already high in sulfur. But they are not as bad as onions/garlic and do provide a good source of protein and are necessary for many on candida diets who may not have much else to choose from. They are still healthy, but again if they make you feel worse, then you'd have to lessen them or go off them completely. However, I am very sensitive to mercury and the movement of it and I can still eat eggs, I just have to watch not to combine too many sulfur foods in one meal.

Funny that you mentioned the fissure. In 1995 when i had two e fillings put in which caused my present condition, two months later i got a fissure too and two cysts on my head. It went away on its own but the cysts on my head came back, even when i had them removed. I found it very painful too going to the bathroom was a nightmare. Please don't take anti depressants even though i did(back then i didnt think it was mercury, i was just unhappy) Just try and eat well..it will go away.

I had anal fissures cauterized when I was an infant...I have been mercury toxic since then. Mercury inhibits the enzymes that digest the proteins in gluten and dairy and that is what makes our stools so hard. I even have to clarify my butter and strain the solids off, cause they accumulate in the colon and plug me up too. Hard to believe but it is true. Some say that goat cheese is better, but it bungs me up too.
Watch for hidden gluten and dairy in processed foods and supplements....they have a cumulative effect and just stick to the sides of the intestines.
Lightly steamed veggies and soups and all easy to digest foods with lots of good oils should keep things going well and even take some flax seed gel. I will post that in a recipe in a separate thread. I did really well with eggs after I eliminated them for awhile and healed my leaky gut, I was able to eat them again and felt great on the days that I did.
Hope this helps.
Best luck, Sandi xoxo
