I had the same neuropathy for the last 12 months prior to my amalgam removal in 2004. I was doing many supplements at the time but they did nothing for the shooting pains.
What did do a very good job of eliminating the pain was a prescription drug called Neurontin-Generic name is gabapentin,I believe.
As soon as I had my amalgams removed I can't recall one incident of the pain returning. I have not required any painkillers the last 30 months.
Also by the way, my arthritic pains dropped by about 90% within weeks.
