I tried natural cellular defense for 2 days and I get strange side effects from it:
- 'detoxification headache' I also get this when I eat lots of raw vegtables and fruits. I think it is a positive sign. - blurred vision - this is very unpleasant - rising blood pressure - I get extremly thirsty when i take it - I drink lots of water, go to the toilet, drink lots of water again... still thirsty
As far as I know NCD will grab metals that are in your blood and colon. But it feels like it 'chelates' and pulls mercury from the tissue. I feel I get more mercury symptoms when I take it.
What do you think? Is this a bad or a good sign? Did you have a similiar experience with NCD?

I am planning to try NCD and have been doing research on it. First, it is supposed to be very dehydrating and you are supposed to drink A LOT of water when taking it. I don't know if you have. How many drops did you take? My dentist said to start with 3 drops once per day, then three twice, three times, etc. and then work my way up to 10 drops 3 times a day over a period of a month or so. On a NCD forum, they said if you are very sensitive (which I am), you should start with only one or two drops and then slowly work your way up. If you began with more than that, your symptoms may have been a detox reaction, from what they say on the yahoo NCD forum, and you would need to start with less. Hope this helps.

Hey there, I have some experience with NCD zeolite and let me say that it is very unpleasant to start off at a dose that is too high for you. I've detoxed with it for a week and I am starting to feel the effects. better mental clarity, much more relaxed and so on.. But there are a few things to take into account when detoxing with this. 1)Start slow: theoretically, zeolites work by trapping toxins in their cage-like structures. but they are also supposed to have the highest affinity for mercury so if it picks up lead first and then come into contact with mercury, it will drop the lead in exchange for mercury. it is then eliminated through the bowels or in the urine. So some people cant really handle all this shifting around of toxins etc. 2) Mercury acts as an antibiotic which inhibits the growth of parasites and when you remove the mercury, the parasites have free reign. This can be especially hazardous if you have a recovering immune system. 3) remove the cause and unnecessary stressors. It is going to be very painful to detox while you're still being poisoned by something. Also, as a side note, some people that I have spoken to have found tremedous success from using spring water instead of normal tap water.
I also drink about 2 litres of still spring water while I am on this stuff.
Hope this helps,

That would explain why I get heart palpitations when I use it.

Which parts are you referring to specifically?
That's kind of a combination of the different things that I have read about zeolites and the way in which they work.

'the zeolite will drop the lead for the mercury' Where are the clinical studies that show that zeolite is an effective chelator in the human body? As far as I know waiora promised to publish studies in 2006 that would show the chelating effects of zeolites. No studies have been published so far that demonstrate that. They only tell they will publish their studies soon. It's not difficult to demonstrate an mercury increase in feces and urine after zeolite intake.(if it works) If it chelates so well where is the proof? I take zeolite and feel better after 1 week, but I am very skeptical that it is an effetive chelator.

That is just the theory. I'm sure if u do some digging you will come across that reference.
But you're absolutely right. There is no unrefutable evidence that NCD is an effective chelator. But there are enough real life cases to indicate that it IS in fact doing something. There are studies which demonstrate the ability of zeolite to bind heavy metals in industrial application and there have been informal studies demonstrating its ability to enhance heavy metal excretion in children. I could E-mail these studies to you if you would like that. But, like you, I'm skeptical. And I will be until I see some hard evidence of zeolites ability to chelate mercury.

I would just like to add that another poster stated that she is willing to do the necessary tests to check zeolites ability to enahnce heavy metals excretion. so we are waiting on those results.
