How many of these can you take daily, does anyone know this? My health food shop assistant said only 2 is safe.

I eat about 10 to 20 daily. They taste great. I also put about 20 in a drink I make once a week. I combine the kernels with apples, ice, cinnamon, and a few other items in a blender. It's amazing.
The best source of information about apricot kernels is in the book called, Nutrition: The Cancer Answer II by Maureen Salaman.
Unfortunately, people have been scared by government propaganda concerning the cyanide in apricot kernels.
To make a complex explanation simple, healthy cells produce an enzyme that most cancer cells do not. This enzyme protects cells against small amounts of a cyanide compound (actually combined with amygdalin, or B-17 from the apricot kernels). If this enzyme is not present, the cell dies. Of course, it's a little more complex than this. Nevertheless...
Guess what happens...
Cancer cells die selectively. Healthy cells do not.
Because cancer is the second most profitable industry in the United States, this information has been (almost) completely covered up. I know a lot of people who have reversed their own late-stage ("go home and get your affairs in order") cancer using a program that included B-17 from cyanide-containing substances like apricot kernels and apple seeds.

I have a stupid question. Are the apricot kernels crunchy or hard to chew? Or, do you need to blend or pulverize them before consuming them? I assume I can find these at my health food store?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer. lol!

They are almost exactly like almonds in texture and hardness. They even taste like almonds.
It's good to pulverize them if you want maximum effect. I often make an apple drink where I blend apples in a blender and add honey, cinnamon, etc. and I throw in 10-15 apricot pits. It's adds a nice element to the flavor and provides a lot of Amagdylin (B-17) as well.
Good stuff.

Thanks, Russ! I've put them on my grocery list for my next visit to the market.

Interesting, thanks! I also have noticed that apple seeds also taste like almonds-- I wonder if they also have healing properties as well!
I know papaya seeds have very good anti-parasite properties.

Apple seeds contain small amounts of B-17 as well.

Russ, that link appears to be gone too, do you think it was shut down by the FDA too?
