Hi. I just made an appointment with a biological dentist. He doesn't use DiamondLite but uses something called Holistore. From what I am finding, it contains no metals, but it isn't the most durable stuff.
I am suspicious of needing 2 appointments before I can start getting my amalgams replaced. He needs one appointment to do bite wing and panoramic x-rays, with a consultation on his holistic practice.
Then, I would need another appointment for a cleaning with another consultation on what would be the best dental choices specific to me.
All I want is my fillings replaced! Do I really need to go through a cleaning first?! Does this sound right?! I am due for a cleaning, but I would like to keep costs down as much as possible.
Thanks, Olif

Olif I think getting any teeth cleaning done when amalgams are still there provides a high potential of creating mercury vapour that you are going to inhale and probably get a herxheimer reaction from. When I look back at the problems I had before amalgam removal I think that the more work the dentists were doing in cleaning and polishing the sicker I was feeling. Al

What your dentist proposes doesn't seem unreasonable to me...getting compatible materials in your fillings is very important and if necessary, cleaning your teeth is too. Doing the mercury removal and chelation is an expensive process...it has cost me thousands over the last 3 years and much more if I factor in the wage loss from years of illness.
In my mind there is no greater investment.

Yeah, but each month that credit card statement does need to get paid!
I found another IAOMT dentist who will do it without the cleaning. They do need to x-rays, but x-rays within 3 years are good. I have some from 2 1/2 years ago, which are hopefully the right ones.
I have an appointment Jan. 23rd for my consultation. I can't wait to get this stuff out of my mouth! Luckily I only have 5, so 2 maybe 3 visits is all I should need before I can chelate. I wish I could fast forward time! :-)
Thanks, Olif
