Dawn, I am of the firm believe that there is actually no such thing as a truly negative person. People who are suffering under a toxic condition feel/behave negatively when the very areas of the brain needed for positive outlook and behaviours are poisoned or blurred. Even when they "act" ok towards strangers, they are deadened and often desperate within.

I no longer judge those people, as I have gone through it and still do and my entire outlook and bheaviour alters like the wind and I feel like a puppet on a string. All due to health. I totally relate to what you are saying.

Most people on here though are discussing the helpful aids of antidepressants, which are not to call anybody negative, but to say that toxicity can cause severe depression and sometimes an antidepressant can act as a mental bandaid WHILST a person looks for ways to heal properly from this condition. It's not a cure, but it "can" divert some of the chemical distortions in the mind that the toxicity can cause.

Health is the cure, but if a person needs an antidepressant as a crutch in the meantime, then they should go for it. but again, the bad side of this is, the toxicity in the first place can not only alter the chemicals and feelings inside, but also cause a person to react to many things they try (including antidepressants). So it makes everything very difficult.

This is why I reckon it's a good move that people are mentioning St John's wart as an option. Andy Cutler mentions this also!

But to be quite honest, I never benefitted from any antidepressants and the only time I managed to get any relief from mental suffering was candida diet and/or mercury detox (at that time). No amount of psycholgoical analysing or councilling got me anywhere, yet I was subjected to it because the medical people decided I was just depressed and needed to admit why this was and what it was in my life and childhood that had brought me to that. All of it was a waste of time and total BS, but they would not listen to the fact of me being unwell. Actually, they said that too was in my head <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Then the antidepressants were brought onboard and they had me from one to the other and nobody told me about NEVER STOPPING them suddenly. They let me go off them and didn't inform me about weaning myself off and I almost committed suicide. I was so close to doing this, that my father had to sit with me on my bed while I was in a foetal position and could'nt speak or move. Did they care? No, they just shoved me on another antidepressant right after that.

Eventually I got off them all and went on the candida diet and at that time, it brought me out of the darkness, even though I still had illness problems. THat was the best antidepressant I ever had (then).
