Tracy,
I have taken Anti depressants twice now. Once was 7 years ago I was on Eflexor ( Venalavexine) and more recently I was on gosh I cant remeber the name... nope wont come to me but it made me eat.
Anyway first time 7 years ago the Dr just gave them to me like they were a box of sweets or something and I took them home and took one, I eneded up on the bathroom floor throwing up and having a very very major anxiety attack, so, I was taken into Phsiciatric hospital whre they watched me and I was still quite bad for a couple of days, eventually I was OK and I thank god I took them. Within a month I was as right as rain.
This time, just recently, I had efflexor again and same thing happened, I had a major panik attack, hyperventalated and everything, so again I went in and they changed to these other things I cant remeber the name of anf I was fine on them.
So, I do think that they can cause probs to start with, I think you just have to work through that. I was told at the hospital they lower your blood pressure and so cause these symptoms.
Both times they have saved me, I have tried St johns wort, they didn't really help me. When I came off the anti depressants I came off very slowly and still felt a little funny but ok now.
I really think you should try again, it seems you are depressed. Depression is fed by negative thinking, once you start that ball rolling its hard to stop it!!!
Best wishes to you
Sue
