Yeeeh. My first milestone. Wouldn't particularly like to go through that experience again but I am sure it will be worth it in the long run. Whilst laying their on the dentist chair with a plastic shower cap on my head (just to be sure!!!), charcoal powder under my tongue, a rubber dam stuffed in my oral cavity, an oxygen piece over my nose and the most horrific drilling sound I was thinking....Mmm I have just spent $6000 Aus D) I could have had ... now let me think .... 92 MASSAGES instead. Ohh shucks. No, definately no regrets.
However, I still think that the Australian Dental Association should have paid for it. Honestly, Australia is such a beautiful place to live, but we seriously kowtow to the United States. If the American Dental Association thinks that putting amalgam into people's mouths is okay then miraculously the Australian Dental Association also seems to think it is great.
Likewise with aspartame, the Food Standards of Australia and New Zealand which is the US version of the FDA has never done any independent testing on this poison. If this neurotoxin is okay for the population of the United States then surely it must be okay for us.
Bring on the Kyoto protocol. I doubt that Australia will ever sign this agreement in it's entirety until the US does. Australia really needs to get a life!!!
Anyway I am now poor but richer in spirit perhaps. My symtoms have definately exasperated. I am not perturbed however. I had an inkling that this would happen. My brain fog is a bit out of control especially at work whilst sitting under my plethora of fluorescent lighting.
For the last week I have had no coffee (I usually have one or two a day). This has really been a nightmare for me. I really couldn't get myself together today at work. It felt like it was taking me hours to complete the simplest tasks. At around 4 pm I was flagging so bad that I made myself a cup of coffee and lo and behold my brainfog disappeared.
Does anybody have any suggestions about what I can take to replace caffeine so that I can still function to some degree at work?
A few months ago I came across something, somewhere on the web that described a dry scaly patch behind the ankle bone can indicate a symptom of mercury toxicity. I checked my ankles and they were fine. Mmmm maybe no mercury poisoning? Well the interesting thing is that today I was clipping my toenails and oh my goodness what did I see?! Yep major dry scaly area behind my ankle bone about 3cm in diameter.
Yesterday after my last quadrant was removed I went to see a doctor who specialises in chelation therapy and environmental medicine. He wants me to go slowly at first and has highlighted my use of a high protein diet, saunas and special emphasis on detoxing my organs of elimination prior to trying DMSA. He wants me to wait about 2-3 months before using DMSA.
He gave me the Heel Homeopathic Detox kit and said to expect some unpleasurable side effects. Well, yes indeedy I certainly experienced that today. Some stomach cramping and diarrohea and mega bad brain fog.
Will keep reporting on my progress in the future. Best of luck to everyone else out there. Lets ride this wave together hey?

I had this "behind-the-ankle" symptom myself all my life and had no idea it was related to mercury until I read Cutler's book. Keep us posted on your progress.

My dad had this. He died of cancer 3 months ago. He meet the counting rules. For those who don't know what that is. Counting rules is a statiscal probablity for having "impaired mineral transportation" (I believe 97.5 chance). He had amalgams with gold crowns on top and many. (galvanism increases mercury into your body) Mineral transportation is something that happens in rare gentic conditions (downs etc) and mercury can easily cause this. Interesting thing is. Certain people are more suspectable to mineral transport problems at lower levels of mercury, but anyone at enough of a dose of mercury. (spill, amalgams, fish, anything) will get this.
Thanks
