Thanks everyone!
Lawstudent, I just wanted to say that my holistic dentist uses kinesiology too. He'll back up his finding with bloodwork if the patient wants. He always explains what he's doing while "kineseying" (don't know what the verb is, LOL!) and also gives patients the option of double checking his findings with bloodwork, where applicable.
I must admit, I was so impressed with his muscle response methods that I felt very comfortable with the results. I've had kinesiologists test me before and I was most impressed with him.
Like you, I was told that my root canaled tooth was more a threat to my health than the 17 amalgams. ANd that was saying alot because he found that I was super sick from the amalgams. Even after those findings though, he recommended that I remove the amalgams first and then see to the root canal. I expect that this type if decision as to timing is made on a case-by-case basis since everyone can be impacted differently.
And I just want to share that for me, one of the most important things I did was take Algin. I started it a month before my amalgam removal and continued with it -- doubling and tripling my dosage in the days prior to amalgam removal and then thereafter. I'm still using it, though not on a daily basis.
I know exactly how you're feeling as far as the apprehension goes. I was scared out of my wits to do a healthy dental restoration. In fact, on the day of my amalgam removal appointment, I was such a 'fraidy cat, my poor husband had to pull me out of bed because I didn't want to go. lol!
I was so worked up about it all that the sedative the dentist gave me in preparation for using conscious sedation for the procedure didn't work. The dentist said I was entirely too talkative. (Oh me, just recalling this now ...... I'm laughing now as I type this!) Anyway, long story short, due to nerves and sheer terror -- I had to be given an elephant's dosage to knock me out. LOL!!!!
But all went well. I did find the root canal extraction process to be somewhat draining physically. I guess my body was heaving a huge sigh of relief and got to work trying to heal things and it was telling me to take it easy so it could do it's job.
And jid, I'll be interested to hear if you gain the same results from your amalgam removals. It's seems there are loads of people like us and so many have gotten rid of their chronic EBV by removing amalgams.
