Really don't know about this, but it may not be as odd as it sounds. I think Huggins in 'It's all in your head' talks about women becoming sensitized to the mercury in their husband's sperm, or saliva. I suppose it could work the other way round too!!

I think once you have had a problem with mercury, you become highly sensitive to the smallest amount, hence the problem some have going to a dentist's surgery.

Dunno what the solution to this is!!! Your husband could do a hair analysis, as a first step, to see what he's dealing with.
