Hi Tracy, am sorry to hear this, but not surprised. It seems the digusting nature of these kinds of illnesses that seem to cycle over and over.

Have you been off the strict diet at all? As I notice that I've been cheating lately, and though I had cigarettes also which I cannot seem to heal from, I've also been eating sugar here and there and I am in a dreadful state and I can't seem to get out of it again.

So thought I'd ask because things for me are very bad and I wonder if you've had some bouts of slipping off the diet too.

I know diet isn't everything, but to be honest, I don't know what else most of us have to really rely on. It's kind of the foundation of everything else. The rest is secondary.

I wish I had more to suggest, but it seems you are so toxic, that anything can hit you back down (like myself). This would be why vitamins and things cause problems also.

Vitamin C is usually ok with most (though some react) and vitamin E, zinc, magnesium and some pure fish oil capsules.

I would be careful not to overload yourself with too many vitamins though, and make sure you're vigilant on the diet and include the fats with it and try and use this is the main thing and everything else comes second to it. Don't overwhelm yourself by thinking you should take this or take that, it won't do any good to try and take stuff if you're not able to absorb it or you're overreacting to it.

It seems that anything else is far too strong for you at this stage, which is why I can only recommend diet and basic supplements. All other stuff may overload you and be too much. I hope the thyroid stuff works for you or at least helps on some level.

Take care and hope you can try and hold on through this and hope you're getting some support.

Good advice Bex, diet is the foundation of everything else.
I too am feeling bad at the moment, i had a good few weeks and now im feeling rough again.
I did cheat though a couple of weeks ago, i drank quite a few beers, had a hangover for 3 days.
I have that feeling of doom again like something bad is about to happen, also nightmares and night sweats.

Bex is right about diet. It is crucial, and I didn't realise how crucial until recently.

I don't know whether you've noticed any pattern in your symptoms. I realised after a while that mine got worse in the second half of my menstrual cycle. I would get more adrenal symptoms, the insomnia was a joke, hypoglycemic, fatigued, headachey, you name it I had it. After keeping a diary I realised that this had a lot to do with the rise in progesterone in the second half of my cycle (from day 14 onwards), which eased on around day 24/25. Symptoms were easier on the first half of my cycle (when estrogen is dominant). I read that progesterone can drive down cortisol, hence the greater adrenal symptoms. I found I had abnormally high progesterone levels, and was low in E. I am trying to balance this out with hormone gels, but the reason WHY I have such an imbalance is because of the candida. This link explained everything

http://www.candida-society.org/ncs/digestv1i3.htm

down at the bottom it explains that candida causes low E and high P. I have now been on the strict candida diet, and started taking oil of oregano, and I have to say I feel significantly better for it (after a horrid week of die-off). And this month the hormone swings are still there, but significantly less. A result!! One of the few things I've done in the course of this illness which has actually made me feel better relatively quickly.

This is my case. I don't know whether it could apply to you. But I do know that hormone swings made me feel very miserable indeed at certain times. The other thing that has made me feel better is taking sleeping tablets. After 2 years of sleeping horribly and trying herbal tablets and melatonin, I caved in and went to the doctor. I know it's bad, but it is so good to sleep properly again. I now sleep from 11-5 unbroken, and then doze. This has made a huge difference in how I view the world. If you'd have told me two years ago I'd be on steroids and sleeping tablets, I would have laughed. I'm not happy about it, but needs must, I guess. I don't intend to be on them for very long.

You have to treat the component parts of this illness - the thyroid / adrenals, the candida, female hormones, and the mercury with chelation. If you have all the above covered, then all you can do is ride it out. Your body is obviously in the middle of a massive mercury dump, which is good in a way. Are you doing low-dose chelation with DMSA? I'm not very good at doing this - I hate the waking up at night thing, and there's no discernible results at the end of a round apart from feeling more fluey and tired. I guess I'll get serious with it soon. Still seeing what my body will do by itself.

Hoping this might be helpful to you

Nicola

I read the link with interest. I often suggest natural progesterone to people because I have had such FANTASTIC results with it. It has helped me more than any other thing I have used. In the link it talks about "nasty side effects" from progesterone but I don't know of anyone who has had problems so please if you have had "nasty side effects" can you tell me and then I'll know perhaps not to recommend. I am however very aware that it is only treating symptoms until I get the metal poisoning sorted but feeling a lot better during the process helps.

I supplemented with progesterone and had a VERY bad experience. These 'nasty side effects' were certainly true in my case. I pretty much crashed my adrenals with it, and had total insomnia - I didn't sleep for 3 nights solid - I'm not joking. I nearly went to hospital in the middle of the night because my heart was thumping so loudly, I was permanently hypoglycemic, my urine was clear (this really freaked me out) and I was very very uncomfortable. Never again. I now give progesterone a VERY wide berth.

But that link explains why I had this reaction. I wish I'd known all this before. 20/20 hindsight and all that.

Hi Tracy,

The cyclic nature of my symptoms also made me realise that i was estrogen dominant and the last two weeks of my cycle I became a raging lunatic. All my symptoms were off the charts. I have been using natural progesterone cream for two months now and am noticing huge changes. Ive also started taking an adrenal support ( 3 weeks ago) and feel better, stronger, everyday. My insominia is a distant memory along with the constant anger and rage. I cant remember what depression feels like anymore. I cant wait for each day to start so that I can get out there and live my life. I cant tell you enough how much these two things have changed my life.

Anonomous couldn't be more right. Write down your symptoms, it is tedious and im sure its the last thing you feel like doing but if theres anything cyclic about your symptoms you may have just struck gold with this. Granted some react poorly, as Nicola and that is very sad, i read some of the bad testemonials but i was desperate to try anything and willing to take the gamble. I couldn't go another month like I was. The first month on it wasn't so great but thats explained if you do your research, this doesn't happen to evryone though and some feel better straight away. Once you push past that, all I can say is WOW!!!!

Goodluck with your recovery

Don't give up, Tracy. I have my bad days, weeks and months too. Sometimes I will feel like I am dying for several days, and can't hardly force myself out of bed, other days I am feeling pretty decent. Even on the decent days, I still have aches and pains, and other weird symptoms, but on those days they are "tolerable". I am getting worse too, my top lip is pins and needles, my tongue is COLD most of the time and my gums are tingling too. Sometimes my fingers and toes are doing it, and sometimes it's the whole hands and feet too. It is so scary. I am naturally a pretty hot blooded person, and here lately my blood has felt like it has ice in it. I still overheat when I am sleeping, and when I get nervous or upset and have anxiety, but the rest of the time I am really cold!

I am having an extremely HARD time with this diet. I was always a person that had a great metabolism when I was younger. I could eat anything and everything. The mercury must be what screwed me up, because I've only been able to gain and not lose for about 5 years now. I don't have severe problems with yeast, so maybe I should try a "partial" candida diet, because I am having a really hard time, and find that I am opting to starve myself instead of hassle with it. There's been a few days, I just haven't been eating at all. I have been feeling so deprived, and eating seems to be one of the only things that make me happy EVER, so I take that away and what do I have. I know this sounds really negative, but that is kinda the mood I am in right now. I am feeling guilty for not being able to do it right.

what supplements are you taking at the moment - are you trying to chelate the mercury? Just wondering whether too much may be getting stirred up.

cant take any supplements Ray they make me feel worse ive always been a person who is sensitive to any kind of medication so im not suprised im not chelating at the moment as have bad experience with this too i have an appointment to see a neurologist on 7 December she worked at a ahospital for the NHS for 20 years working with people who had been affected by toxicity Now she has gone private and when i spoke to her she said i must go and see her and she would help me as my neurological symptoms were worrying so im hanging on for that and trying to do my best to keep going how are you doing

Tracy, I'm fine, feeling almost 100% now. Am going for a follow up vegatest to see whether there are any outstanding issues. Supplements generally make me feel worse too, maybe that's why I was bad with mercury in my mouth, perhaps a genetic predisposition.

I hope that the appointment goes well for you in december. Have you spoken to your dentist about how you're feeling? I have a lot of faith in him and hope he will be able to help. at the moment it sounds like you're having a tough time but hang on in there and things should get better soon. I know that's easy to say but I really hope it does.

I am at the point where I don't even want to eat...I am going to get a juicer and try that fast that Scarlet recommended...I am willing to give anything a go...I sometimes wish they would cut out half my colon to make life simpler.

Have you ever done a fresh juice fast Tracy?
