Hi Rachie....That is cool that your Dad wants to do it, my family all thinks I am batty. The symptoms your father is starting to exhibit definitely sound like they could be from heavy metals.

I am 55 and had mine done with no bad effects but I had alot of testing done beforehand by a biological dentist. And with the gold fillings, your Dad is more likely to have a galvanic reaction, but there is testing to deternine the order of removal to prevent that.

If he is healthy, I see no reason not to do it, it could prevent further problems in the future, but then again if not done properly it could make him sicker. But then again, my dentist does this for 80 year old patients with alzheimers and has great success. I see them repeatedly in the waiting room and they keep coming back for more....his alzheimer's isn't gone, but his wife says his disease is not progressing like it was.

It is a tough decision and has to be a well informed one as Bex says, do the research and make your decision based on that . Just be sure he is willing to go without sugar and dairy and gluten, most people have a hard time with that, and it is essential...it can make or break the chance of success.

And as Jill says, I also have numerous relatives with no amalgams or dentures that lived full healthy lives well into there 90's..I was sicker that they ever were.....sad but true.

Best luck,
Sandi
xoxo
