Oh yes, it was VERY frustrating. I bawled my eyes out when I went to my 8th doctor and he told me that "someone with as many symptoms as you just needs to see all the specailist and then you just have to consider psychosematic"(sorry, I have real problems with spelling, will this get better without the hg <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />) I was so tired of being treated that way by family, friends and doctors, but I think this last one really made me realize that I was own my own in finding out what was wrong with me and made me more determined to prove everyone wrong.
Now even as I am much better, if I ever say something about "when I was so sick" and someone ask me what I had it is still frustrating because when I say that I have mercury poisoning, they always seem (or maybe it is just me) to question that. I get things like, "really, how did you get that" and when I tell them about the amalgams many of them say "well I have amalgams". I do feel if I had said that I have cancer, MS, diabetes, etc.something that everyone is familiar with, that they would feel more sympathy and understanding. I guess that is partly why I try to mention it as much as possible now. I feel that if we all make it know that it is a very real thing and the more people start hearing about it and become familiar with it , then they will start to believe.
In the meantime, do all that you can to help yourself and stay away from things and even people who make you feel bad.
