I would suggest you locate a reputable biologic dentist who performs cavitation surgeries and find out. Many dentists do not want to know about this kind of thing, so you'll need to find one that works in this area. Here is one link where you might be able to find a dentist or ask the dentist on there if he can help you find a good one or check out the dentists directory and find one in your area or near enough to. Here is the link - http://www.holisticdentalnetwork.com/biocompatible.phpI hope this helps <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Also do you have any pain with this? I had a similar thing happen to me a few years ago and had an abcess actually under my tooth. I ended up with an infection and had to have it pulled.

hi, theres no pain there no pain wth it.its just the smell really. is it comman to have cavitations under teeth.or more when you have teeth removed. could it simply be a type of gum infection it has'ent got any worse in the last 4 years . i also have a wisdom tooth that was removed. which seems to of healed well.but ive read its quite common to have a cavitation.after its been removed.with no symptoms. so maybe i should find a sutible dentist.

probably a good idea I am in the same predicament my tooth was very infected (different tooth) ordinary dentist kept taking out filling, packing it with antibiotic gauze and refilling it. Then sh filled allthe four root canals, filled it again and sewed it back up. Thats when I became really ill. Later the same dentist said it was badly infected pulled out the filling, then the tooth, then drilled out the root fillings and just sewed it up. I was left with no pain but have since learnt bacteria or infection could have spread anywhere and my health deteriorated again rapidly. Choose a very good dentist carefully.

The worst thing you can do to an already bad situation (root canal),is fill it in with amalgam,i've have a root canal filled all the way to the root with amalgam myself. A few months ago i went to a naturopath doctor who did some muscle testing, and clearly told me i would probably never get all the mercury out by drilling out the amalgam and refilling with compatible replacement,so i have the tooth pulled and all tissues cleaned out. I have since had the digital exrays, that show any kind of disturbance/infection from the base of the tooth to jaw area, and it was free,so i'm keeping my fingers crossed.
