Hello Rachie. I had had rather severe sores in my gums after both occasions that I had amalgams removed from my upper teeth. The gum sores were on my lower gums. I think they might be candida. I am fighting them now. I had 5 amalgams removed around 2 weeks ago. I have been rinsing my mouth a few times a day with warm salt water, peroxide, Listerine, and a mouth rinse called Prevention which has zinc and peroxide. This things seem to help, but don't cure the problem.
