Yeah I agree. What angers me is, THEY are actually supposed to be the servants, because the person paying is the master (employer). So can someone tell me where they got these ideas about themselves?
We are the one holding the purse strings and have every right to ask questions before we even see them, yet it seems to be the other way around. It stinks. I have found most dentists I have been in touch with have been difficult and quite arrogant. others have been lovely and helpful, but they are quite rare!
And yeah you feel like you're treading on broken glass when you ask them anything, as though you have no right! When in actual fact we have every right to get answers to whatever we wish before we make any committment. Its' VERY frustrating and wastes so much of my time when they really do not want to "let on" but wish instead for the person to make a long trip to see them, pay a high consultation fee just to be told what they could quite easily have said across email but didn't.
No it isn't too much to ask, but you would think it was. I would still like to know where exactly they get such high ideas about themselves??? (again this is not all dentists I am getting at, but it seems very common which is sad). They seemt o be able to put outrageous costs on whatever they want and make you feel like THEY call the shots not you.
