Bex I am not surprised at the unwillingness of the dentists to give out information without the assurance that you will be the next installment in their retirement fund!!! My dentist charged me $1100 for each onlay and I think it was $700 for the compatibility testing and then several hundred more for meridian testing and then $200 more for ultrasound and then after the fillings were done, he wanted to do more tests at my expense to see how much my meridian testing improved. Go figure.
Then after he pulled out my first root canalled tooth, he wanted to send the tooth away for testing to see what was growing in the root at my expense too, and I said no thanks. Since then I had to get the site reopened cause it got infected and then you should have seen my jawbone, took antibiotics and now I am left with an anaerobic infection which probably came from the gum site...he is no surgeon, now I know why he tried to talk me into getting the root canals redone...not only for the $$$, but cause he probably never did a cavitation before and wouldn't admit it, cause he didn't want to lose the $$$$.
So now I am suffering with bv and a cold, my body is just plain run down and tired of dealing with all this crap. The antibiotic that I am using now for the bv is the only one they have capable of dealing with these superbugs...so I am pretty concerned. I have since found another dentist several hours away that is more experienced in doing cavitations so will see him when I save up some money to afford the trip...and an well enough to withstand 8 more removals We are also in the process of downsizing and moving..and that is another stress...but it will save us money.
Here is a site that may be able to help you with financial assistance, even though you are in NZ, they may want to help you when they find out what you have been thru.
http://www.jigsawhealth.org/Apply_Now/Sorry for the ramble, I just want you to know that you are not suffering alone, not that it is much consolation and I continue to pray for you Bex, I hope you can see the light soon.\\
Best luck with the site and I hope you feel better soon.
