ok I kno I have replied to myself two times now but I'm onto something. A sign of pitted edema is when you hold pressure on the skin in the area of the water retention for a while and when you let go there should be an indent there which will remain for a while. This happens with me! on my face, neck, arms, legs, virutally everywhere! When I wear a rubber band on my arm for a time, the indent stays for nearly the whole day when I take it off! This is not normal..
