I guess it's because the molar teeth are dense and made for chewing and can easily get cavities. The other teeth are just there for tearing or biting, but they don't seem to have the area for the cavities as such.

But yeah, it's a good idea to make sure of a dentist by more than one opinion and also by reputation. I know my Mum and many others like her had their teeth filled, and often when there were not cavities so that this would "avoid" future cavities. So basically they packed the mouth full of mercury amalgam regardless of wehther it needed to or not.

Lucky were the ones that ended up with false teeth (like my father). My mum kept her teeth and she is CONSTNATLY ailing from this or that problem. Dad is healthier, stronger and much older than she is. Coincidence? I don't know. But she is weaker, paler, sicker, and what's wosre is, she got gold put in as well, so things got even worse for her.

She's got many ailments, yet eats pretty healthy. Dad s doing fine, feels good all the time, yet eats pretty much what he wants. (she's 60, he's 74).

I've seen this quite often. I guess it depends on ones overall toxic burden, sensitivity etc. but I'd prefer false teeth, rather than what she has.
