Tracy, I'm so very sorry your feeling so ill, this mercury thing is a complete and utter nightmare. I completely know where your coming from regarding conflicting advice. If you search the internet for information there is zillions of articles regarding mercury and what to do to get rid of it, but just when you think your on the right track, and are maybe taking supplements or whater you read something else that says don't take that supplement as it can make the mercury worse or whatever, I've lost count of the stuff I've bought and tried only to find out that I've either done the wrong thing, or done the right thing but it doesn't agree with me.
About three weeks ago I woke up in the middle of the night and felt I was literally gasping for air! Scary!!
Also I find that if I get ill from a cold etc. it sets things off again, I think everytime I have some sort of virus or whatever, it puts me back again.
The worst thing is everytime you have a good day or two you think yessss I've cracked it, finally I'm feeling better, then whamm that lasts for just a wee while then your back to square one again. I am truly sick of all this.
I really hope you feel better soon, I have had days when I thought I wasn't going to make it through and felt sure I was about to keel over at any minute it is very frightening and you get to the point where you can't take any more.
Sending you best wishes and hope you improve soon

Hi Tracy, Hang on there Tracy. This bad phase will pass. You know that it will. Perhaps while you are feeling really down look at yourself from a third person perspective to remove yourself from the intensity of the situation.
See yourself from a scientists perspective. This person is feeling anxious and depressed because the residual mercury is affecting their seratonin levels ......... due to ...... Don't let your mercury emotions steal the better of you. Life is too short to lose it whilst we wait for the mercury to be removed from our systems.
Think about the positive aspects. Just think how many people are out there who have all the emotional and physical symptoms that you have but have absolutely no idea why it is occurring. Tracy we are the lucky ones. Knowledge is empowerment. We know why we aren't in tip top condition. We therefore have the advantage of looking towards a mercury free future after all the up and downs have subsided.
Tracy, take care and remember tomorrow is another day. If tomorrow is yet another crappy day there is always the day after that.

Tracy - there are so few short term things that can help with mercury. I know that when I was feeling really bleak I got some relief from sweat baths - fill the bath up half full with hot water, pour in some sea salt and sit there and sweat. This might get rid of some of the extracellular mercury that is in your system. Don't do it for too long or too hot though, if your adrenals are very weak. I used to do this regularly, and would wake up almost clear headed the next day. The other thing is lots of Vit C - the buffered powder version, - take to bowel tolerance. Cutler recommends high dose Vit C to lessen the worst symptoms. Other than that all you can do is sit it out and get on proper thyroid and adrenal support asap. This makes a big difference.
Hang in there, it will pass - many of us have been through it and you are not alone in your suffering.

Tracy, i have been where you are now, i can promise it will pass, it took weeks for me to feel normal, im not there just yet but it was nothing like the beginning, after amalgam removal. Epsom salt baths are also good, you can buy it at a health store, it makes you sweat and you feel relaxed. Diet is important, you cant really recover from this if you eat sugar, yeast or gluten, i have also cut out all dairy now because i still dont feel right. Also caffeine is bad for us, including tea, i miss tea so much! I know that your test shows high levels of mercury, so you must be feeling rotten, maybe DMSA in 12mg doses, not the 25mg that you were taking would be better. Just halve the capsules, some people have to do this to feel better. Keep us posted.

Tracy you can buy big boxes - 500g - of Epsom Salts at Boots for your bath. Its not too expensive its between £1 and £2. I buy several boxes at a time I'm sure they must think I'm very constipated or something!! lizbet

Hello Tracy,Mr.Cutler says that if your having a really bad time of it to try Alka Seltzer Gold. Only the "Gold", it does not contain any pain relievers. It has the ability to clear up the "brain fog" for awhile. I don't remember why it works, but I tried it and it helped. For my severe anxiety I take Klonipin. It is the least addictive benzodiazipene. It lasts for 12 hrs.I only take the .5mg occasionally, very occasionally. Is there chaos or stress that you could reduce in any way. Let someone near you know you need help.Don't isolate.

I felt pretty crappy the last 2 days too, I bought an organic dark chocolate bar so I could eat a couple of squares for a special treat now and again. Yeah right, well we all know how that goes. I ate the whole damned thing in one evening. And I have felt crappy ever since....not just from the sugar but from the caffeine...it really reacts badly with mercury.
Dawn is so right, we have to completely avoid, all sugar, gluten, dairy cause it feeds yeast (which stores and methylates mercury) and caffeine too cause it reacts very badly when combined with mercury.
Hope you feel better soon.
Sandi xoxo

That is so funny! I bought a nice bar of german chocolate to eat "a litte at a time". I ate mine in two sittings. I can't keep those foods around because I trick myself into believing I am some "normal" person that can eat anything.

FYI I have been suffering with mercury and lead poisoning for 30 years. fortunately it was diagnosed two years ago and I have been on a good program for the last two years. Today, I feel almost normal. I do not have all of the energy but the night sweats, panic attacks, insomnia, and going crazy feelings are gone. I still wake up in the night for a short period but it is a far cry from where I was. If you would like to know what I have done you may phone me at 970-248-0044. I have spent hundreds of hours researching this incredable problem. Not to mention thousands of dollars over the years. i can relate to the desperation and fear. Sincerely; Alan A

HI Alan, whatever it was you did, I wish you could type it up so we could all read it. many of us are in a similar position than Tracy and like to find out anything from others that has helped them. And some of us are from overseas, so phone calls are not always very convenient from the toll cost side of things.
BUt if you could share some of what helped you on here, that would be very helpful.
thanks.
