Hi Jill, it can depend on what else is going on with your health also. Being young helps a heck of a lot sure, but you can be young, have mercury toxicity and have an extreme sensitivity to it as well, so you can get toxic symptoms, plus many others.

But imagine having that, plus having some other underlining problem as well, this then can interfere wtih your body's ability to deal to the mercury. If the body has too many challenges at once, it can come to a stand still almost.

I am sadly in that state. I hav always had major mercury problems and sensitivity, that is how I am. But I went through a very bad time trying to excrete it, but at least I was excreting. Since other issues occured to me, like bacteria infection causing an immune system dysfunction, plus possible cavitations in my jawbone, and incompatible dental materials, I am dealing now with somany things, my body has literally stopped dealing with toxicity altogether and I remain chornically ill, with no real detoxing happening adn if it does, I dont tend to improve regardless.

So it's hard to say what causes some people to really go under and what causes others to just get one or two main annoying symptoms, but to where they can still have a life.

Make sure you do not make matters worse unnecessary in embarking on amalgam removal too quickly, thinking this will cure your fatigue. Everything has to be taken into account, the right dentist, his method of removal, the materials he will replace your amalgams with should be biocompatible for you, the protection he will use during removal and how much effort you are willing to make with diet, supplemetns in aiding your body to cope during this and after this and to help it eliminate any stored mercury.

I did many things wrong and in the end it caught up with me badly. Mind you, I think if it were not for my other problems, I would have healed from mercury as I was healing over time anyway and making progress.

I am sure you will be ok, just be as cautious as you can about the removal and replacement materials.
