I'm so glad to have just used an infrared sauna & found it was effective in removing mercury from my neck/head - more so than anything else I've tried including the standard dry sauna. It pulls poisons out faster than other saunas. I still use a steam sauna as this is the best way of removing mercury from my mouth. See google about 'infrared sauna mercury detoxification'. It runs at a lower temperature than normal saunas. They recommend no more than 30 minutes a day in one. I've used it for longer with no ill effects. Most sauna establishments do not have an infrared. Do a search on google for an 'infrared sauna' along with your town/city name. If that doesn't work try a nearby town/city. If you live in the UK in Suffolk call 01284 700100 where they have one in Bury St Edmunds. I have just ordered one. It is 90 x 90 cm in base. I found most websites selling them sell ones that can't be unassembled. In the UK one website that sells ones that can is www.saunashop.co.ukThere is also something called a 'facial sauna' which lets you breath in steam as you put your face over a plastic face mask. I found that if I breath through my nose I can get more steam into my mouth. In the UK you can buy them from Boots the pharmacy for £13.

Thanks for the info, I have heard they are good, and I want to try them someday soon. Be careful though...I have read they can move extracellular mercury deeper into the cells so it is a good idea to have your surface mercury removed first.
best luck and thanks for sharing, let us know how you go!!!

Is that each time you use it or is that long term?

That is a million dollar question, and the answer would depend on a number of factors....like have you been chelating or following a natural food diet for some time? and how bad was your metal burden?
You could try it once but if you read some professional chelating advice.... not sure if it was Cutler or Huggins stuff, they recommend using infrared saunas with caution in the early stages.
Let us know how you go? And be sure to shower well afterwards. I thing sweating is definitely the safest way, much less stress for the kidneys and bladder.
Best luck and take good care....

If it is making you feel better then I wouldn't worry about it, it is obviously working. I can't wait to try one...now that it is winter it will be really hard to break a sweat. Maybe I will try it soon.

Many say that 80-90% of mercury is excreted via the intestinal system. Does anybody know, to what extent this proportion can be changed by using sauna?

Most infrareds use less than 2000W of electricity. I have just received one designed for 1 person but is suitable for 2 small people to sit in. It is 90 x 90 cm in base. I found most websites selling them sell ones that can't be unassembled. In the UK one website that sells ones that can is www.saunashop.co.uk Most infrared saunas have heaters made from steel. They sell the up-to-date ones made from ceramic which heat up quicker & use less energy. So it takes 20 minutes instead of 40 to reach say 40-45 deg C. They state that the delivery driver will not take goods from the lorry to your home - this is not the case. The manual said it would need 2 people to build it, but I managed it by myself. The plug that came with it was a European one, so I cut the plug off, trimmed the cable & installed a plug suitable for the UK. If you buy any sauna, be sure to connect a circuit breaker plug to it at the mains. After your sauna session is over, sit there & leave the door open. You will continue to sweat, after which you can then shower. See http://www.pacificnaturopathic.com/articles/articles34.html for more info There is also a forum here http://curezone.com/forums/f.asp?f=454There is also a book called "Detoxify or Die" by Sherry Rogers.

There is a lot of new equipment advertised as good for detoxification. One of them radiates your skin by polarized light. It is said that it helps you detoxify your body. I am afraid it just mobilizes but does not remove anything. On the other hand I don’t understand why it should be better than infrared sauna. I am afraid it is just more expensive. What do you think of it?
